Silky Oaks is one of Australia’s largest private collections of Native Australian plants. Set on 30 acres; there is 3 lakes, manicured gardens, a cut-flower plantation, rainforest, and orchard to wander.  The camp ground is a secluded part of the property on an untouched lake with wildlife and horses surrounding. Guests can also to choose to camp in the gardens surrounded by manicured native gardens and abundant birdlife. Oakdale is a lovely rural area; you will pass cow paddocks, mountains and beautiful country vistas on your drive to the property. The area is a mix of houses, hobby farmers, homes on acreage, equestrian centres, produce growers and National Park.  There is a glorious look-out in the National Park overlooking the Warragamba dam. Some days it is swept with clouds; enveloping you into the majestic heavens. It’s an easy ten min drive away. There is local towns 15mins drive for eating out and getting coffee.

Site 10 - Where the Wildflowers Grow
A very pleasant and picturesque place to stay. Beautiful gardens to camp amongst and the native flower nursery was interesting to wander through. David is a helpful and no fuss host. Would stay there again.

Nice quiet spot with lovely trees and plants. We had the place to ourselves which was lucky. Will be back.

Site 4- lake 3. Opposite side
What an exceptional stay I had at "Where the Wildflowers Grow"! The property with its abundant flowers, both native (particularly native) and exotic, is pure joy! No matter how often I walked the gardens, there was always another new flower to see (and photograph)... and the Grevilleas are WOW! Then there was the camping by the dam... peaceful yet engulfed by the sights & sounds of nature... so many birds, frogs, the glorious skies... David is a great host, always prompt in communicating and ready to help if needed. Highly recommended, I would love to camp here again.

Site 6- Liquid Ambers
I love how Dave's property maintain the privacy of each camp site area while keeping the garden available for everyone. The flowers in the manicured garden and plantation are both well maintained. We stayed at liquid ambers and it was amazing!

Like camping in a Botanic garden!
David was great with communicating and helping us from the beginning, when we arrived at the property he helped us find the right spot and showed us around a little bit, he was a great host! The property itself was really beautiful, like camping at a botanic garden! The horses on site were so friendly too :)
