Welcome to Shady Acres Farmstay, a peaceful 23-acre nature retreat in Coopernook on the NSW Mid North Coast. Set amongst open paddocks, rain forest, a beautiful spring-fed dam, and bushland, this property offers a simple, private, dog-friendly escape for travellers who love raw, uncomplicated nature. This is a primitive / leave-no-trace campsite, there are no facilities, and guests bring everything they need. In return, you get privacy, fresh country air, birdsong, gumtrees, and the freedom to slow down. Choose your own peaceful spot overlooking the water, set up under the trees, explore the land, enjoy visits from kangaroos and birdlife, or stargaze at night with zero light pollution. Incredible Location — Minutes From Major Attractions We’re perfectly positioned to explore some of the Mid North Coast’s most beautiful natural areas: 🌿 Cattai Wetlands — at the end of the road A stunning wildlife haven with boardwalks, birdwatching, kangaroos, flora walks, photography spots, and peaceful water outlooks. 🐚 Crowdy Bay National Park — coastal walks, headlands, beaches 🌊 Harrington & Crowdy Head — swimming, fishing & breakwall 🌴 Old Bar — cafes, markets & long open beaches 🏞 Lansdowne & Coorabakh — waterfalls, swimming holes & lookouts 🛍 Taree — shopping, dining, river walks 🏖 Port Macquarie — beaches, restaurants, wildlife parks Campers love that we’re close to everything, yet completely peaceful and private. Dog Friendly Dogs are welcome and love the space here. Please keep them supervised at all times due to wildlife and natural bushland. A soft highway hum can sometimes be heard depending on wind direction, most guests find it fades into the background and appreciate the easy access for quick stopovers.
