Great property for couples, families or larger groups. Each site individual to the group. Sally and Brian invite you to enjoy camping on their beautiful property. Surrounded by Yengo National Park and Crown land, Earthways is 134 ha (330 acre) property near Wollombi in a secluded part of the Wollombi Valley. Come and enjoy the noises of the bush and the clear night skies with no human neighbors close. No mobile reception. (Phone and wifi for emergencies at our house.) We (Brian and Sally) have been re-vegetating the land and living here sustainably being “Off Grid” for over 40years, surrounded by bush with 3km of Stockyard creek meandering through the valley. We would love to share this paradise with those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Dogs welcome but kept on a lead. No leeches and No ticks in this area. NO close neighbors. Perfect spot to pitch your tent or set up your camper next to Stockyard creek. After a few small floods we now have water in the creek. Lots of sunshine and lots of shade. Easy dirt road access (5km) Some sites require/recommend 4WD check each site separately. Come and take advantage of the Wollombi Valley's beautiful scenery and atmosphere. Sit and relax or get adventurous and explore the area. The historic village of Wollombi is only 25 minutes away, and has cafes, shop, museum and the Wollombi Tavern. The popular Broke and Pokolbin wine regions are a short 25-40 minute drive away in the opposite direction. Yengo National Park has some wonderful look out spots-great to take a picnic to Finchley Lookout to watch the sun set or check out Aboriginal art sites. You may see wombats, kangaroos, echidnas, goanna's, kookaburras, lyre birds black cockatoos and so many other native birds/creatures. Stunning rock features, caves, diverse ecosystems with abundant native fauna and flora. We are situated in a valley. Each of our separate camp sites are for your own private space.

Private Lyre bird site
Private site. Excellent hosts.
Excellent communication from Brian and Sally during the booking and organisation stage. We were affected by road closures getting there but were kept updated by them the whole time. Made it so much easier to plan our trip. They were very accommodating with our arrival and departure. The site was a clean, large open area with plenty of room for kids to run around and be free as a bird. Sun rises straight onto the site which was good for the cold winter when we were there. Toilet was sufficient (probably luxury for what we are usually used to) and the IBC tank provided was handy just to rinse stuff off. We did not use the shower but it looked well setup for a camp-setup. There is fallen and dead wood that can be cut and collected on the site, however, keep in mind that it can be moist and rotted so just consider that it may take a bit more to get a good fire established. Hosts have wood at a reasonable price if needed. An extra bonus is that if you're the type that want leave your site to explore - lots of wineries not too far away. Overall, hosts were friendly, excellent communicators and very easy to deal with. Site was large, peaceful and private. I would go back here again.

Our recent camping trip at the Wombat site was amazing! The natural beauty of the area was just wonderful, me and my partner had such a memorable time. A special shoutout to Sally and Brian, who were incredibly welcoming and warm. Can't wait to return!

Private rocky view site
Beautiful bush camping
What a fantasticS place to camp. Such a well maintained campsite, very private as described. Plenty of firewood provided which is much appreciated in winter! Plenty of space to kick a ball, explore the property, bushwalk, cave exploring, night time fauna spotting. They even provided a cart of non potable water which is most helpful. We love that the property is a lovely bush property with lots of regen efforts going on. Lovely helpful hosts who left alone but there if needed. So good. Will definitely be back.

Private Goanna site
Private Goanna site.
What a very special place. The site is quite large with plenty of room for a large group of campers. Brian showed us around the site and told us where we could best get the morning sun as it rose over the mountain. In the evening we enjoyed the milky way sky full of stars, as the crescent moon slid down behind the mountain, and we sat around our campfire keeping warm and listening to the evening calls. Plenty of small dead trees around to chainsaw up and gather kindling. Brian and Sally also have some dry wood under a tarp for when it gets wet. The pit loo was clean and tidy, and the use of (non-drinkable) water was handy. During the day we explored the area, which has some very well-designed wombat burrows and a small mountain pass thoroughfare with rock walls and hollows either side that echoed of whipbirds (and possibly a lyrebird?). Such lovely fungi about, also. The small birds, Eastern Yellow Robins and a few others were a delight in the mornings - flitting about and chittering away. The birdsong was wonderful - currawongs, black cockatoos, butcherbirds, magpies... and the frogs lullaby in the evenings. It is the perfect location to rejuvenate in nature. Hopefully next time we'll spot a wombat (or the elusive lyrebird).

Private rocky view site
We had a lovely time at the private Rocky View site. It was secluded, providing a peaceful retreat. The fire pit was set up with wood ready to use, making it easy to enjoy a cozy evening. Our dogs absolutely loved it. I highly recommend their property!
