Surrounded by Yengo National Park and Crown land, Earthways is 134 ha (330 acre) property near Wollombi in a secluded part of the Wollombi Valley. Come and enjoy the noises of the bush and the clear night skies with no human neighbours close. No mobile reception. (Phone and wifi for emergencies at our house.) We (Brian and Sally) have been re-vegetating the land and living here sustainably being “Off Grid” for over 40years, surrounded by bush with 3km of Stockyard creek meandering through the valley. We would love to share this paradise with those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Dogs welcome but kept on a lead. No leeches and No ticks in this area. NO close neighbours. Perfect spot to pitch your tent or set up your camper next to Stockyard creek. After a mini flood we now have water in the creek. Lots of sunshine and lots of shade. Easy dirt road access (5km) Some sites require/recommend 4WD check each site separately. Come and take advantage of the Wollombi Valley's beautiful scenery and atmosphere. Sit and relax or get adventurous and explore the area. The historic village of Wollombi is only 25 minutes away, and has cafes, shop, museum and the Wollombi Tavern. The popular Broke and Pokolbin wine regions are a short 25-40 minute drive away in the opposite direction. Yengo National Park has some wonderful look out spots-great to take a picnic to Finchley Lookout to watch the sun set or check out Aboriginal art sites. You may see wombats, kangaroos, echidnas, goanna's, kookaburras, lyre birds black cockatoos and so many other native birds/creatures. Stunning rock features, caves, diverse ecosystems with abundant native fauna and flora. We are situated in a valley. Each of our 5 separate camp sites are for your own private space.

Private Goanna site
Goanna site
What a fantastic camp. 3 nights at Earthways at the "Goanna site" Sally and Brian are fantastic hosts and the way they have set up the sites is perfect. Goanna site is about a hectare in size and is for a single group. So it is peaceul and quiet. Brian showed us around on arival and told us a bit about their land. Went for a walk with our dog and had a great chat with Sally. Lots of bush walks, aboriginal art and wild life about. The stars were fantastic and we lost count of the number of satelites we saw. Only a short drive back to Wollombi Tavern for a beer and schnitzel or you can head out to Finchley and go exploring there. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful camping near the wineries
Amazingly peaceful location, with Bell Birds ringing and Lyre Birds song. Plenty of wood for the 🔥 which we kept going most of the time. Our party of 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs had an wonderfull long weekend. Our hosts Sally & Brian were very friendly and accommodating. Perfect location to nature and wine lovers as easy access to wineries. We will certainly be back.

Private Lyre bird site
Beautiful spot tucked away in the valley with very welcoming hosts. Peaceful seclusion with plenty of firewood. What more do you need? Basic facilities but luxury if you’re used to rough bush camping. We loved the pit toilet! Will be back for sure. Thanks for having us :)

Loads of room and privacy
We really enjoyed our stay. Sally’s communication was excellent and we felt very welcome. (You should purchase some of her home made honey too; it was outstanding). The campsite was excellent; large and private. If wet, I would recommend a 4wd or an SUV. If dry a 2WD is fine. There is no phone reception which I enjoyed. Wollombi is less than 30 mins away with good food, coffee and phone reception. The toilet was as advertised and we didn’t use the camp shower. We will be back.
