Unreal riverside camp

We had a great time at Sandy Bottom Farm, despite the wind.
The campsite is wonderful, open and right on the river. The trains didnt bother us at all. Such a beautiful place.
Plenty on firewood around to use.
The hosts were welcoming and a pleasant.
We will be visiting again

Was beautiful location, very easy to find and hosts were very helpful.
The trains were super cool addition. I got some really cool drone footage of one passing by. Highly recommend and will be back.

We stayed here overnight, what a lovely peaceful and flat camping spot next to the river. There are trains coming passed but they aren’t to much of a bother. The trains toot at you when you wave!

3-Day Getaway to Riverside Camping – A Little Slice of Heaven on the Goulburn River
This was our third visit to Riverside Camping, and it just keeps getting better. We spent three relaxing days camping by the Goulburn River, and it truly felt like a peaceful escape from the world.
One of our favorite things to do was set up our chairs right in the river and sit under the shade of the trees lining the bank. On a warm day, it was absolute bliss – the cool water flowing past, the gentle rustle of leaves above, and the sun filtering through the branches.
Yes, the coal trains do rumble by fairly often, but honestly, after a while they just faded into the background. They didn’t bother us one bit and almost added to the rhythm of the place.
A highlight of the trip was watching our 5-year-old granddaughter and her dad building a massive sandcastle right in the middle of the river. She had the best time – digging, splashing, laughing. Moments like that are what make trips like this unforgettable.
Riverside Camping is a special place for us – peaceful, simple, and full of memories. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

A fantastic location, great river and extremely lovely hosts but unless you want to be woken every hour or less from coal train going by, take some medication and some ear plugs or find a quieter location.

I have no idea where to begin?
Hosts are amazing, clear instructions, easy going, with the most adorable pup you'll ever meet.
Clear beautiful water, beautiful surrounds, absolutely relaxing. All you'll ever hear is nature, with the occasional hoot from the train, and moo's from the cows. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely an amazing spot so peaceful and relaxing. The kids had a ball in the river and watching and waving to the trains. We can’t recommend this enough. We will be back.

We had an amazing stay at Sandy Bottom Farm! The peaceful setting by the river was perfect, and our kids and friends had an absolute blast, especially watching the trains go by. Had an awesome stay at this campsite! The location right by the river is unbeatable, and everything’s really well-kept. Each site has its own firepit, which was great for cozy nights. The river was shallow, warm, and super clear—you could even see carp swimming upstream! The whole place feels well cared-for, and you can just tell they put effort into making it nice. Perfect mix of chill vibes and nature! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic spot to unwind.

Private site right on the river. Yes there are trains on the other side of the river about every hour but for the other 59 minutes in the hour it is a minor point. There are no facilities but for the prepared camper it is a very good site.

The site was exactly as described, right alongside the river, private, yes the trains came through but really not an issue at all and most gave a toot and wave. To sit around the fire and enjoy the night sky was bliss.
Greeted on arrival and given directions to where to go.
Owner called in for a beer and chat one of the days which we enjoyed.
Will book again in the future.
Ps- bring some aerogaurd as during the day there are plenty of flies.

We absolutely loved Sandy Bottom. A secluded camp-site right on the river. Jules and Dave were fantastic hosts. Greeted us when we arrived, super friendly. Our van made it through the gate no problem. We had a fire in the pit provided and enjoyed the serenity. The water was a little chilly but still refreshing. Lots of little holes to swim in. Watching the birdlife everyday was beautiful.
Loved waving to the trains as they passed by.
We will be back. X
