Riverside Farm Retreat is 13 km southeast of Narrabri. It is a horse breeding farm on the banks of the Namoi River, set over 500 acres, where guests can enjoy camping, fishing, canoeing, and relaxing. There is good access for caravans - to get to the property is all tarred roads, with no gates to open, just a cattle grid to cross. The camping area is spread over a beautiful, wide green grassed space, with plenty of level ground. There is an abundance of bird life here, including our pet emu Pepper who roams freely, occasional visiting kangaroos and cattle moseying down in the afternoon sunset to drink from the river opposite.Come stay one night, or as long as you’d like! ONLY 7 minutes from Narrabri, 50 minutes from Gunnedah. The camping area is suitable for self-contained 5th-wheelers, caravans, campers and mobile homes. One caravan/camper trailer/ roof-top tent/ tent per site - if you have multiple caravans in your group, please book multiple sites. Limited fire pits are provided so you can safely enjoy a campfire. You are also allowed to use your own suspended (off-ground) fire box. (please bring your own wood). The sites are unpowered, so you'll need to have your own power source. We do however provide fresh drinking bore water and two toilets. Well-behaved pets are welcome but you need to pick up their pooh! We also ask that you please take all the rubbish when you go. Secure caravan & camp location. Fully fenced private property.

Riverside Farm Retreat
Great spot right on the river..green grassy paddock to set up in..The hosts came down for a chat and were very warm and welcoming.Definately recommend this spot.

Good location not far from Narrabri. Nice camp area overlooking the river with a welcoming visit from Pepper the Emu.

Riverside Farm Retreat
This was our first time staying here and we absolutely loved it! Ian, the host greeted us upon our arrival and was very kind and welcoming. The whole area is well maintained and very clean, including the 2 toilets! We spent our 2 night stay fishing, hanging out with Pepper and Darcy and swimming. It was also very close to town, making it easier to pop in if we needed anything. We will definitely be going back!

Riverside Farm Retreat
Myself, my sister and our partners had the most wonderful stay at Riverside Farm Retreat. The location is absolutely serene, nestled in nature with a stunning view of the beautiful river, perfect for a refreshing swim, which made our New years celebration so peaceful and magical. The facilities were simple yet comfortable. While the portaloo toilets may seem basic, they were clean and well-maintained, adding to the authentic, rustic feel of the retreat. One of the highlights was meeting the Host’s friendly dog, Darcy, who made us feel so welcome. She was such a lovely companion during our stay! We also had a great time interacting with the emu named Pepper who absolutely loves a salty Jatz biscuit and to be apart of the conversation which added such a unique touch to our time there. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway where you can unwind in nature, swim in a river, and enjoy some friendly animal company, Riverside Farm Retreat is the place to be! The peaceful surroundings made it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!
