We were camping at Long Flat as part of Muster during extreme heat - the river was our salvation. Perfect tempurature for October, steady current, small rapids for the adventureous. The pub is a small treasure with great meals if you dont feel like cooking.
You need to be self contained but there is a loo available while the pub is open or clean Council toilets right next door to the pub but it is a fair hike up the hill to get there.

We loved our stay at Riverside camping. So much space, river view, great food at the pub within easy walking distance.

Long Flat was great! Simple camping by the river. A few flies but not overly bothersome. Half barrels available for firepits. A short stroll to the river for a picturesque swim and a wander up the hill to the Pub for a delicious feed and flushing toilets. Perfect way to spend a weekend.

Riverside Campsite
Beautiful campsite. We arrived late on a Saturday evening, we were able to order food from the pub and the staff and food were great. The campsite itself is beautiful, we went for a very cold swim in the morning but the atmosphere was great. Everyone was quiet and respectful and there were places to have fires scattered around the sites. We will be back!

There’s limited grass spots to camp on after the floods, most areas are covered in river rock now. Had dinner at the pub on a Saturday night wait 2.5hrs for food , but it’s still a great location and beautiful river system.

Super busy on the long weekend, limited spots left for vans but on a normal weekend I can see would be much roomier. Great location beside the river with fantastic freshwater swimming. I was surprised at how quiet it was at night despite the amount of people - some late night singalongs but nothing excessive. Close location to the Long flat pub for dinner - note on a long weekend food times are pretty long about 2 hours. Food was impeccable and hot!

Was a great camp spot the only downside was it felt over booked was worried we wouldn’t have a spot to pitch the tent but we did find a spot that was full of big rocks and unmowed grass full of spikes that stick to you’re cloths
Would love to see this camo site better maintained because it’s such a beautiful spot

We always love camping at Long Flat. We arrived in the school holidays before the long week end and it was very quiet until the long weekend. Great for swimming, the river was crystal clear, the pub and shop are a bonus if you need them.

We camped right next to the river and had the whole area to ourselves. We had our dog with us and he loved swimming for sticks, We went to the pub in the evening and had a fabulous pizza for $18.

It was a fantastic spot, veret welcome at the pub for check in and we had 2 great steaks for dinner at the pub, just so yummy, and also had a few drinks at the pub and had a great night with the local patrons!!!

We could not camp there due to family emergency, and then localised flooding in our area, contacted the campground as per Hipcamp, go no response
Was not asking for a refund was asking if a change of date, or raincheck was a possibility.
contact attemp was several days prior to reservation date
My guest tried to telephone, also no luck
We have visited the site before,and will probably try again when able, though the lack of communication was disappointing,, not sure if it is a hipcamp or a campsite issue
we pre paid, loosing the money whilst annoying ( we are aware of the strict cancellation policy) in not as annoying as not getting a response at all.

I had a great experience at The Long Flat pub and campsite. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was good. The large fire pits added a fantastic atmosphere, perfect for the cold evening. The campsite itself was beautifully situated by the river, with easy access and a peaceful natural setting.
A couple of small suggestions: clearer signage for the public toilets and guidance on their use after hours would be helpful. That said, the facilities were clean and well maintained. One other issue was that some guests continued partying loudly past midnight, and it would have been appreciated if the hosts had stepped in to manage the noise.
Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay, and I’d happily recommend this spot to friends looking for a scenic and friendly getaway.

Amazing food , and customer service form.pub staff .
Camping ground is good if you just like to rough it
Has toilets available at pub and rest area .
Scenery is amazing .
Take away shop also cook amazing food and open at 7am !
