5 acres hosted by Sue And Dale P.
Experience life on a country road in the rainforest of Northern NSW.
We are in Tuntable Creek, the next village up from the legit hippie enclave of The Channon. This is a unique part of Australia where we are all immersed in taking care of our land and dedicated to a peaceful, happy lifestyle- this area is the home of the famous Aquarius Festival of the 70’s so the vibe is strong!
Our property, called The Rainforest Farm, is a 5 acre terraced haven that features an abundance of natives, fruit trees and bird life. We consider our Hipcamp offerings a farm stay where you become part of the property, experience a tree change lifestyle and retreat from the busy-ness of life.
We have two accommodations on the property.
One is The Patti - our 1965 cozy retro caravan named after rocker Patti Smith. The Patti features a comfy double mattress. You will need to bring your own bedding and towels. We provide a mattress protector. The sleeping area also converts to a table top or you can leave it for snoozing. The Patti has facilities for light cooking, a fridge, a small sitting nook (which can be used as a bed if the person using it is very small) and is attached to a deck to enjoy nature. Although you are in a remote area, the caravan is adjacent to the gravel road and our home is right next door so you won’t feel isolated. Chances are good you'll see us working on our land or will meet the occasional neighbour
Our other sleeping area is The Rainforest Hut - a simple hand built A Frame cabin, perched at the edge of the property - close enough to the main house so you don't feel totally on your own but incredibly private so you can enjoy your own experience.. It is forest bathing to the max! The Rainforest Hut has a quality double sized mattress and is perfect for couples or a single. Next to the hut, is a simple bush kitchen featuring a small gas stove, a functional sink, a little fire pit and chair.
The Patti and The Rainforest Hut both have full use of a communal Camp Kitchen and gathering area which is between them both. The Camp Kitchen features a BBQ, sink, picnic table, chairs and fire pit. Both accomodations also have The Wash House - a simple flushing toilet, sink and dressing room with outdoor hot/cold shower is about 50 metres walk from both. . We are usually around for a chat but will also help you have as much privacy as you wish.
In the evenings, put on the supplied head lamps and go for a night hike up the road, warm your toes around the campfire or stare at the ever changing night sky.
Extras included are yoga, vision boarding and Hippie High Tea parties. Staying in the Patti or in The Rainforest Hut is the perfect escape for artists, yogis, writers, influencers, those curious about a tree change or for anyone just wanting to chill out and enjoy the peace and quiet of our beautiful region.
We look forward to having you stay with us!
