Beautiful mostly level land in Crabbes Creek. Only 1km to The Northern Rivers Rail Trail, 8 minutes to the closest beach, 5 minutes to Byron Shire, 14 minutes to Byron Blues Festival, 23 minutes to Tweed Regional Art Gallery, 14 minutes to Brunswick Heads. Great places for fishing, walking, riding and swimming nearby. Great restaurants and cafes nearby in Burringbar, Mooball, Ocean Shores, Mullumbimby, Pottsville, Billinudgel, Ewingsdale, Byron and beyond. Live music at local venues most weekends. Very friendly staff at the Crabbes Creek General Store/post office/petrol station/bottle shop. Farm fresh free range eggs and fire wood for sale when available

It was great to camp at the unpowered sites at Rail Trail retreat. It was incredibly central to what we wanted to do. We cycled the rail trail, drove along the coast and visited Byron Bay, saw an amazing amount of whales. The Rail Trail Retreat offered both powered and unpowered, with water. Great facilities and beautiful grounds

Crabbes Creek is a lovely area, but the campsite is much like a mini caravan park located in a large open lawned area and close to the road. Power and water are available (which is very convenient) but is not the typical secluded hip camp type of campsite.

Enjoyed our stay here. We arrived later afternoon but we enjoyed the sunset colours on the lovely grassed area. The local Plubbers (birds) weren't friendly but didn't cause any real issues. Had a lovely little fire on the grass and had a quiet uninterrupted nights sleep. Thanks for letting us stay, we will be back!!!

Beautiful flat on acreage
The setting was very picturesque, waking up to the tranquil setting and seeing the cows at the fence. Jane was very accommodating and on arrival we were given fresh eggs from their chickens.

We enjoyed our camp - very green grassy site. Great location to access the rail trail. Although Crabbes Creek Rd was surprisingly well trafficked, our stay was peaceful. Jane was very responsive.

The area was so well kept, we stayed on a powered site and made use of the tap available to fill our water tanks. Communication with Jane was excellent. We brought 2 bags of fire wood. Access to the Rail Trail was so easy. Used dump point at Murwillumbah Show ground. It was just so peaceful, and sitting by the fire at night the stars were amazing Highly recommend and will definitely go back.

Lovely flat, green open paddock area which was bordered by trees. Quiet spot that was an easy ride to the NR rail trail head. Nice to have access to water and WiFi. There is power if you prefer. Our hosts Jane and Brad were friendly, provided lots of pre-stay information.

Lovely big, flat unpowered spot to park our van. We had a choice where to park which was great and the availability to potable water was very handy. Brad and Jayne were lovely and very prompt and easy to contact. Beautiful little country town. We would recommend a stay here.

Great camp, easy to find and very close to the start of the Rail Trail by bike. The only disappointment was that the owners were hosting a 50th party on the first night that we stayed so there was a bit traffic past our site and the music was on quite late. It took us a while to figure out what was going on and could have been communicated during the booking so we were aware.

This camp was just as described. Lovely flat green grassed spot with shade from the perimeter trees. Jane's directions and helpful hints about the area were much appreciated. Great spot - close to the rail trail and within minutes of the beach without the over crowded hassle. Private spot, well away from other campers.

We loved this place so much we stayed, then left, then came back again! Neat and tidy, fire pits provided, water available for fill ups and wifi as there’s minimal reception. Incredible general store within walking distance down the road, central location and we used this as a base to explore areas all around. Jane and Brad (along with Pepper and Benji!) are lovely hosts and quick to reply to any questions you may have. Highly recommend.

Jane’s instructions and communications were very helpful and detailed. We had a great time and loved the spot - so handy to the little local store and the Tweed Valley Rail Trail which we rode on several times during our stay. There were other campers with us but there was plenty of room between us all that we didn’t feel on top of each other. Would love to come back again! Thanks for having us share your great spot.
