Located within half an hour drive of several World Heritage listed National Parks, Peppermint Flat Glamping provides 3 canvas bell tents for groups of up to 9 people. 20m from the Platypus-filled Oaky River and with all the luxuries of home: hot water showers, real mattresses, luxury bedding, device charging facilities and lights and all the cooking equipment and utensils you could ever need. Just bring ice, food and drinks for the esky and you’re set!

The Platypus Tent has all the luxuries of home for groups of up to 4 people (1 queen, 2 single stretchers). Lights, device chargers, all your cooking equipment, BBQ and firepit with cook plate, all cutlery, plates, glassware and utensils provided. The tent has luxury bedding (real mattresses!), including pillows, sheets, doonas and extra blankets in case it gets chilly. The tent also comes with a spacious 70L esky, outdoor table and all overlooking your own private waterhole in our pristine Oaky River where Platypus play only 20m from your tent. The fire ring has a swinging hot plate so you can choose to cook over wood coals or on the BBQ provided. Bench seats surround the fire ring and there are also chairs close to the tent provided for your use. Hot water showers and composting toilet are only a short 50m walk from the tent and the tent is located about 100m from all other tents, but very privately sheltered by trees and terrain.

The Echidna Tent has all the luxuries of home for groups of up to 4 people (1 queen, 2 single stretchers). If you would like to book for extra people try our Platypus Tent only 150m away in the same location. Lights, device chargers, BBQ and firepit with cook plate, all cutlery, plates, glassware and utensils provided. Both tents, if requested, have luxury bedding (real mattresses!), including pillows, sheets, doonas and extra blankets in case it gets chilly. The tent also comes with a spacious 70L esky, outdoor table and all overlooking your own private sandy beach on our pristine Oaky River where Platypus play only 20m from your tent. The fire ring has a swinging hot plate so you can choose to cook over wood coals or on the BBQ provided. Bench seats surround the fire ring and there are also chairs close to the tent provided for your use. Hot water showers and composting toilet are only a short 40m walk from the tent and the tent is located at least 100m from all other campers, but very privately sheltered by trees and terrain.

Platypus Tent
We loved our stay at Platypus Tent, Peppermint Flats. The property was private, peaceful and beautiful. We loved exploring the property and watching the Platypus in the creek. The glamping tent was big enough for the three of us and was well equipped. The facilities were clean and the shower was beautifully hot. We would definitely stay again, given the opportunity.

A lovely quite campsite. Well provided for. We were privileged to see a platypus in the wild. Keep your eyes out early in the morning and you'll see them.

Platypus Tent
We had an excellent time here! Great location and ideal if you looking for a peaceful secluded retreat away from it all. The site and facilities are wonderfully looked after and so much effort has gone into making this place a memorable experience. I’d like to thank Lucy, our host for making this an experience for us and all the hard work you’ve put in. We would love to visit again!

Echidna Tent
We enjoyed our 2 night stay, the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. We were there for an event. I think it would be more enjoyable if you didn’t have plans and you could spend more time relaxing around the fire pit. It was very cold without any heating in the tents and I would have liked power in the shower facilities. I would also have preferred a flushing toilet. The host was very friendly and her directions to get there were easy to follow.

Platypus Tent
Platypus tent was a great place to stay, glamp and unwind. The site was set up really well. It was cool at night but having a camp fire was so nice and the bed was sooooo comfy and warm. There is lots to see in the local area. We would definitely recommend this spot.

Platypus Tent
Platypus tent is a little hidden gem. Set by a gorgeous river, it offers a peaceful place to unwind and disconnect. The tent is fully equiped with everything you need (and the beds are very comfortable!) New shower and toilet facilities are lovely & clean. Lucy is a great host and is always happy to help. Phone connection / wifi is available a 2 minute drive down the driveway so it's a great place to have time away from wifi and devices without being too remote which is an added bonus! Our family have been here twice now and will definitely go back again.

Echidna Tent
Beautiful campsite with everything you could possibly need. Lucy was a wonderful host and had everything ready and set up for us. Beautiful farm with a nice lake running through. We had a great time sitting around the fire and a comfortable night’s sleep. The amenities block is convenient and very clean. We really appreciated the availability of the hot showers. We’ve recommended this site to everyone since returning home!

Platypus Tent
Platypus tent was fantastic - we loved it! Beautiful serene location, positioned right by the river with a number of great hikes in the local area. Lucy has created an exceptional camping site with a great balance of little luxuries and comfort within an authentically natural setting. The toilet and showers are brand new which is always a bonus! We highly recommend platypus tent and will definitely return again in the future.

We liked the accessibility to Armidale and ease of access. Tent and bathroom set-ups were great and the bed was super cosy and warm.

Amazing place...AAA+++
Echidna Tent
Amazing spot, overlooking a rocky stream. Lucy (host) was amazing. Camp was set up far beyond expectations. Everything was included. New showers, toilets. Very easy to stay here and will absolutely be staying again. I have stayed at over 15 places in the last 3 weeks due to work and this outdid all of them including most hotels.. AAA++++
