Schnapper Beach Camp - Site 1
Our kids were scared to stay at the site which gave off Wolf Creek vibes. The site is a bit of a mess with old shipping containers and equipment lying about. Our site and access was tight. We had to book elsewhere when we we arrived. We've asked for a refund but nothing has happened, Hipcamp says its up to the host, but the host says its up to Hipcamp.

Nice enough place to pitch your tent and use as base to explore the area.
Conveniently close to town and beaches, but camp site has not a lot to offer.
I feel was a bit overpriced for what it was.

The ad said it was appropriate for RV and caravans
I would not drive any vehicle on the site ,only 4WD.
The site was very rough and we couldn’t get flat in our coaster.
The photos showed one thing but we didn’t see anything like them.
$71 for 2 adults and 1 dog
We got out , looked at the all the trees that had been pushed to create a space and left.
Nothing for our $71 but pushed over trees and shrubs

Gunther had no problems with us checking in late around 7:30/8:00pm which was ideal for our road trip timings. We also enjoyed being close to the 4x4 beach and got to check it out the next morning.

Great spot close to the river and the beach. Gunther was a very relaxed guy. Excellent spot to park the caravan up for the night.

Super private & quiet location. It was nice to be amongst the trees but hear the ocean in the distance. The location is a short drive to the beach and into town. Gunther was also very laid back and easy to communicate with.
