Welcome to our beautiful property on the Hastings River. Oxley Riverside Campsites is a little piece of paradise located inland and west of Port Macquarie. Our property features undulating hills with lush, green grass, fantastic views and access to a refreshing river to cool off in, on hot summer days. Oxley Riverside Campsites offers four listings for your enjoyment. We have campsites right on the river for kayaking and swimming enthusiasts and for those who choose to relax and just take in the stunning surrounds. We welcome your furry family members as long as they are on leashes. Oxley Riverside Campsites provides large private spaces for each campsite with a communal covered picnic table and barbecue for the use of all campers. Campfires are permitted outside of fire ban season, and there is a dedicated firepit on each site. We look forward to welcoming you!

Perfect for fishing, swimming and canoeing, with small rapids.  Access the convenient 'His' and 'Hers' composting toilets on site (no showers), with a communal picnic shelter housing an open fire BBQ.  We have a water tank to supply potable water.  There is a fire pit provided on each site. 4WD only access advised after extended heavy rainfall.  We are a 40 min drive from the beautiful Cottan-Bimbang National Park to the west, as well as Timbertown to the south-east. Timbertown offers heritage demonstrations, historical displays and steam train journeys. The Biriwal Bulga National Park nearby is home to 74 native fauna species including koalas, powerful owls, glossy black cockatoos, spotted-tailed quolls, yellow-bellied gliders, and long-nosed potoroos.

We love the Upper Hastings River for camping and this is one of the best, only 45 minutes from home for us so great for a quick getaway!

We camped with friends on site 4, we didn't know the composting toilets had been moved up top near site 3 & 4,bit of a walk for those camping at the bottom near river. Beautiful spot,stunning sunsets. 5 min walk to river, the boys kayak and had bit of a fish - some bites. Not far to Comboyne for day drive or 4wd through state forests. Very scenic and Bruce was lovely to chat to.

Site 3 - Oxley Riverside (level RV area)
We all enjoyed caravan and tent camping on the farm. We could hear cows across the river. The site is dog friendly as long as they are restrained. Great composting toilets. Lots of great drives and owns to discover. We kayaked up the river and had some fun on small rapids. Great for a cool off after a big day. Thank you for hosting us! A long weekend we will not forget.

Site 1 is the only true river front site, while site 2/3/4 are away from the river(a short walk). Nice property with good clean toilets available.

Absolutely amazing property, great views of the river, beautiful clear river water, nice shady trees and really good toilets, nice and clean. Highly recommend Bruce's property for a relaxed stay.

Oxley Riverside (site 2)
My sister and I spent 4 idyllic days @ Oxley Riverside. It's all been said before such a great effort by charming host Bruce needs to be acknowledged. The campsites are private, very scenic and well maintained with plenty of flat ground on all sites. The evening skies are simply wonderful and the bird life an absolute delight. The ladies & gents toilets are next level for a camping ground. Bruce was so very helpful. We loved our stay and it was a highlight of our road trip. The area is very picturesque with mountains and the Hastings River running through the valley. Hope to return in autumn.

We had a fabulous few days at Oxley Riverside camp. Huge sites and Bruce offered an upgrade to site 1 as he had had a cancellation. Lovely shady site by the river. River was very fast flowing because of all the rain but we still went in for a refreshing dip. Great access. Made friends with the neighbours donkeys. Close enough to “town” if you feel like a beer at the pub or pick up extra supplies. Compost toilets not too far and kept nice and clean. All in all a cracking campsite. Thanks Bruce!

Oxley Riverside (site 2)
We camped at Bruce’s property over Easter long weekend and had a wonderful time. We were 4 families, 8 adults with 4 kids and 1 dog and it was perfect. We booked sites 2,3 and 4 but all set up camp of site 2 as it’s huge and closest to the river. There was another group booking on site 1 but we barely noticed them as sites 1 and 2 are seperated from one another. Site 1 is the best site as it’s closest to the river. It is a great spot that we all highly recommend - beautiful river to swim in, friendly donkeys that greeted us on arrival, we met Bruce out and about in his tractor and he was great, waking up to the kookaburras, drop toilets that are the best I’ve seen, and fire pits that meant we had a fire going the entire time. So secluded. Se peaceful. Highly recommend.

We went with a few families and all camped on site 2 with plenty of room! The kids were able to run around and since there was no one else there they had free roam! We would definitely go back again. Thanks Bruce

Thank you Bruce! Our 2 night, mid week stay at Riverside #1 was just what the doctor ordered. Peace, quiet and tranquility. If you want to wake to the sound of the river, mist on the mountain and the braying of cattle then a visit to this gem is a must. Cannot recommend highly enough for those seeking to reset.

Beautiful property on the river with some great swimming for the kids. We booked out all 4 sites for 4 families and it was a huge amount of space for everyone. We all ended up sleeping on one site! We ended up getting very heavy rain during the nights but there was no flooding and the ground dried very quickly. Being in a valley the thunder would roll on forever, it was a very exciting experience. There's also a couple of friendly donkeys next door to top off the trip for the kids. Lovely place and would definitely recommend.

Highly recommend spending some time out here. The water is nice clear and cool. The sites are large and fairly level. There is phone reception if required. We had a great time.
