We are on 25 acres set in rural farm lands on the Hunter River. Close to historic Morpeth with cafes and antique shopping at your finger tips. Property is located within 30 minutes to Newcastle and handy access to Sydney express way. Camp and stay in a gorgeous location beside the Hunter River. Bring your favourite book and comfy chair to enjoy the serenity of the land. Bring your walking shoes if you are up for some hiking along the river. Bring your fishing rod to catch your own dinner. Bring your swimmers and your stand up paddle board to enjoy the water access. Come with your friends or come by yourself and enjoy the peace and quiet. Transport to and from local wineries and concerts are available. We would love to welcome you to sit by your fire and gaze up at the stars only minutes from the convenience of nearby cafes and restaurants. Pets are allowed on leash. What a great spot

We had a great weekend Staying here. it is very quiet and so peaceful. it was freshly mowed and very well kept. Linda and Mick were great and couldnt be more helpful. we will definitely be back. Thanks

River side camping

We loved our farm stay at Morpeth other campers there in sight but not close 3 mins to the beautiful town this was a very relaxing time with a fire along side the river! Owners are lovely :)

Amazing stay! Thank you Lynda! Fabulous getaway on a little slice of paradise right on the banks of the Hunter River. Frankie (demon) loved the bone you left for him too, kept him occupied for a while. Will definitely be returning!

Great spot on the river with easy 2 minute access to Morpeth’s facilities as in Pubs, delis, supermarket and coffee shops. Lynda and the kids were very hospitable and friendly with an awesome acoustic sing along set around the campfire. Very laid back and relaxing place to stay

We have taken our caravan there a few times now and we are already booked in again. Great spot on the river. There is only 6 sites so nice and quiet..Morpeth is just over the bridge so close enough to shops etc but far enough away to enjoy the wonderful serenity of camping near a river. Lynda and family are are the perfect hosts. Friendly and very accomondating and we would highly recomend Oscars Retreat to anyone..
