Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
This camping spot is in the middle of a small sheep farm. The sheep are quite shy so shouldn't bother you. The farm house is within view (see photos) but not so close as to invade your privacy which is respected. You also may hear a variety of low volume farm animal sounds from your camp sight, including sheep, chickens/roosters, ducks, horses and dogs. The clearing is near a grove of gum trees and an old shed that was once an old locals home, but now only shelters a local wombat. The shed is in disrepair but you can walk around it, look in and enjoy the trees and wild life, which includes birds, kangaroos, and wombats, possibly even koalas. There is also a lovely view across the hills. The camp area is accessed up a narrow bush track running along the property boundary. Vehicles under 7 meters allowed
Of road vehicles and campers recommended. Narrow bush track access so beware foliage may brush your vehicle. Ground may be uneven and sticks and stumps maybe be present in the access areas.

Off leash, on leash. Off leash is allowed only if the animal is still under your control and are stock safe (will not chase or harm sheep etc). There is space for your dogs to run. Cats must be on a leash due to wild life. Note although we havent seen any in the camp area, snakes may exist, no liability is accepted for injury or death of pets caused by wild life. Pets are welcome at your own risk so reasonable care is recomended.

Gum Grove
Kristy's campsite is beautifully located, with rolling hills and sheep grazing peacefully around your campervan. During the night, it was nice to relax outside the van in the silence, and watch the silhouettes of trees stand out against the moonlight. Kristy is friendly, and introduced us to the variety of farm animals she has. We had a very pleasant stay here, and we would definitely come back.
