Welcome to Murraywood, a peaceful river bend all to yourself, where you can relax among the river gums as you watch the sunset over the Mighty Murray. We offer only one site so you will have complete privacy and plenty of space. Tooleybuc is the nearest town and is 11kms away, it has a boat ramp so you can make the most of your water activities on the Murray. It also has a general store and IGA for your shopping needs. Relax around your campfire in the evenings and enjoy some amazing star gazing. Please ensure there are no fire restrictions in place before starting a fire. Campers must be self sufficient and take all their rubbish and provide their own camping toilet. Pets are welcome. Quiet, peaceful area to camp on the Murray River. Waking up to the birds chirping as you step out of your camper to see the sun shimmering on top of the Murray River is spectacular.

Murraywood on the Murray
We had a lovely time in this little nook of the Murray. Peter was responsive and answered all our questions. This little spot is on a quiet corner - we experienced no road noise or machinery from local farms- there was one morning of bird scarers for other local farms as previous reviews have mentioned but it was limited only to one morning, and hey, that’s often heard in this region. It didn’t incur on our experience and was minor, in such a lovely location. The solitude of this place is a rare find. We loved it. And will be back! Thank you Peter for opening up this site to share! For others be aware reception for phone is limited depending on your network. We didn’t care. Was nice to unplug.

Great spot nice and quiet.There is only really two spots there but that’s good if you’re going by yourself . Plenty of firewood lying around and no noisy bloody cockatoos 😀. Met Peter very friendly only need to put a sign up as we had trouble finding the entrance to the camp

Nice quite spot all to yourselves and nice little sand bar for the dogs or swimming in summer. Will definitely be back.
