Enjoy direct river access and try your luck at the seasonal bounty of Murray Cod, Golden Perch (yellow-belly) and huge blue crayfish! Muddy Waters is an ideal location for your adventures and outback experience. Walgett has a rich Indigenous and agricultural history, with significant sites located nearby. Walgett means “where two rivers meet” and Muddy Waters is less than 1km by boat from the junction of the Namoi and Barwon River. Set up base here and do daily tours at your own leisure. Brewarrina Fish Traps are 130km west & Lightning Ridge & Grawin/Glengarry Opal Fields situated 70km north. Enjoy a soak in a number of artesian bore baths in the shire like the often overlooked and quieter one in Walgett. No toilets here - campers must be self-contained and please leave no trace. Dogs welcome but kept under control as we have farm animals and dogs. Access to the campsites is possible for all types of vehicles and rigs. Campfires ok, and free firewood to collect.

Great fishing straight from camp. Just a short boat ride to the junction of the Barwon and Namoi Rivers. Coolibah Cabin is a product of our vision to share our unique and beautiful land. The cabin is a fully furnished, rustic, one bedroom, reverse-cycle air conditioned cabin situated just 50m from the Barwon River on our property Muddy Waters. Features include a comfortable king size bed, lounge area with fold out double sofa bed, bathroom & kitchen amenities, washer/dryer combo. Enjoy the view off the floating deck verandah overlooking the billabong & river. Muddy Waters is only 5km’s from Walgett township. Close enough for work & shopping, but far enough from town to enjoy peace and tranquility. Try your luck at fishing for a yellow belly or cod, catch some yabbies, put in a kayak, do a spot of birdwatching or take a stroll along the river & creek. Perhaps just unwind in your own little rural retreat. Currently our road access is Dry Weather Only. Please call before booking to enquire weather details.
