Chris’s property is picture-perfect—a place where you can sit and enjoy the view all day. We stayed with a 16ft van; the site was a little tight to turn into, but absolutely fantastic once set up. Very peaceful, excellent privacy, and well worth the money for the location. Highly recommend.

Excellent view, beautiful sunrises in the mornings. Easy to access site but felt secluded. My friend slept in her large 2WD and I slept in a swag - suitable area for both. A bit of dirt bike noise during the day but nothing bothersome. Recommend visiting nearby Lake Lyell Recreation Park for a swim and Marrangaroo National Park for a hike (definitely need good hiking boots for rough rocky trails).

Nice private spot with great view. Small flat area, big enough for a couple of tents, cars and seats/firepit. Surrounding area sloped so not ideal for kids (bikes, balls). Easy to access and good communication.

Great views of the valley with a glimpse of Lake Lyell. It is very quiet and peaceful except for the occasional motorbike riders. But in terms of costs, it was a bit expensive compared to a similar place we stayed at. However, this was a good finding because it was a last-minute booking for us. Would definitely recommend it. Thank you

Valley campsite
We stayed in the valley because the ridge was already booked but I’m so glad we did. It’s really private with a lovely walk you can do in the creek. We saw lots of amazing birds while there including wedge-tail eagles! Highly recommend staying at this spot.

We loved staying at Chris’s property! We booked the valley spot but ended up staying in the Ridge site instead. Both perfect spots with equally appealing qualities. The ridge site was slightly more open and easier for us to keep an eye on our two dogs whilst they were enjoying themselves running around! The view of the lake was lovely. Chris was very helpful with directions, flexible during the booking process and allowed us to keep to ourselves during our stay. We would 100% recommend this spot and would love to return one day.

A great site, with lovely views of the valley below and glimpses of the lake. Ultra quiet and peaceful. We have stayed at similar hip camps in terms of peace and quiet and views, though they were $22, $36, $48 range. So this one is getting up there a bit in terms of cost, but we enjoyed our stay, and would certainly recommend it. Many thanks.

We highly recommend Ridge campsite. It was a beautiful, private campsite and had stunning views of the valley below with glimpses of Lake Lyell. We will definitely return in the future.

Overall a good spot. Lovely location, well connected for all types of cars. Just a short distance from the Lake Lyell. Perhaps adding a toilet will be a great addition to justify the price. There are many comparable properties with little cheaper prices per night. But as a last minute booking it was a good find. More suited to self-sufficient campers.

Incredible location with incredible views and surroundings. Very tranquil. Easy instructions to access the property. Overall a very spendid stay, would definitely come back and recommend to anyone for a weekend getaway!

Top site has an amazing view! It is not very big but we did fit, within the flat area, 2 cars with roof tents and 2 small tents on the ground. It is really appreciable to be alone, with no houses at sight.
