Great spot for large groups and dog
Lots of options in a stunning setting. The highlight is the Misty Loop walk. Well maintained track with birdlife and amazing view of Mount Warning.

Great find
Kids enjoyed the common room facilities eg pool table and air hockey which were free to use. We didn’t have any views on campsite one but we were close to ammenities. Location of site on campsite one was pre allocated. Each group appeared to have plenty of space. Campsite was quiet and the permanent residences on site were friendly and helpful. Great that you could buy firewood onsite for $20. Free pinecones around to use as fire starter. We would go back and perhaps for better views I would go unpowered next time.

We booked a tent site over the last weekend of June. I chose this site because of the photos and description on their web page. It stated there was to be no loud music at anytime and that large groups were put at the 100 tents site. We arrived to discover an entire section was “reserved” for 75 people, the particular section I was hoping for as it was away from walking tracks and amenities. There was a half fallen down hand written sign at the opening of camp site 2 that I obviously misunderstood and was then told to move all our gear as the 75 people would need this space I had chosen. When I asked Peter about why the large group weren’t placed into the 100 tents site, I did say ffs under my breath as I was packing up, Paul threatened to throw us out because I dare question him. We did find another site on the property which was quite lovely but on at least a 45 degree slope, like most of the sites were. There was a party of about 50 people across from us who partied until 4am the first night we were there and then the second night they were eventually told to be quiet around midnight. Again, why weren’t they placed in the 100 tents site? So if you like to be on uneven sloped ground and enjoy laser beams and loud music to the wee hours of the morning, this is the place for you but we won’t be back

I loved camping at Misty Mountain. We only stayed a night but we had a lovely time out in nature. Will definitely come back again and would like to stay longer!

I camped here for 4 nights in winter and couldn’t recommend it more. The facilities are well set up with composting toilets and warm showers, and several shelters across the property are well positioned also. My son and I enjoyed the dam, the games room and liked the large amount of space we could take up. Peter and the caretakers were nice and welcoming but left us mostly alone
