This property and the view of the mountain range is incredible. Will be a hard camp spot to beat! Property is well looked after, lots of different view points and property owner gives great directions. Would do again!

This place was great! Incredible views, good choice of campsites, good amenities & clearly a very well looked after site. Felt well looked after, and the directions around the place were clear and understandable. Perfect spot just far enough away to enjoy the serenity but close enough to towns. Will definitely be coming back soon!

We had a fantastic time at Misty Campground with our group of friends! The sites were private and peaceful, yet still close to clean amenities. There was plenty of open space to relax, and best of all, it’s dog-friendly — our dog's loved it! Perfect spot for a mid week getaway and close to the local towns for any last minute supplies. Highly recommend for a relaxing outdoor escape!

Had a great stay. We travelled midweek and had a very large section all to ourselves ! Caretakers came and checked in a few times, seemed lovely. Would go back.

Very nice place with beautiful scenerio, bit windy in camp 1 as it is on the top, check in went smooth, a guy welcomed us with all information, had accessible flush toilets and game rooms with kitchen and fridge in it. We were 10 people by ouself at camp1, regardless 2 cabin far away from us. Everything was going smooth but another guy came up at 9:50pm stating he is the care taker and was rudely told us to shut our music, which can be taken care in a nice way😰. We got bit distracted/ worried for couple of hours as there was ambulance for cabin resident. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay and relax

Beautiful camping spot in the mountains. We stayed on campsite 4 and had awesome views. Good facilities, we were able to have our dog with us, we did the "misty loop" which was a great walk around the property.

Incredible views! It was so great that we were able to take our dog, too - he absolutely loved it. So much space to spread out so our spot felt really peaceful and private. We also walked the Misty Loop in the morning! We already can’t wait to come back!

We had a fantastic weekend at Misty Mountain camping ground. Peter was a fantastic host and his caretakers welcome us with kindness and friendliness , however camp 1 site where we stayed, caretaker was not a friendly person. He was rude towards us. We have reported this matter to Peter and he dealt with it straight away. Thank you Peter. However, the overall this hipcamp was a fantastic getaway for us. Very spacious, relaxing, fantastic views and fresh. The camp kitchen was the best . Jules was so friendly and great cook. Games to play and a place to sit down and unwind when it rains. My friends and I really enjoyed our getaway and we will go back again.
I highly recommend this place..

We will definitely be back for another visit in the future but had a couple of issues that made this visit memorable. While we made sure rain wasn’t predicted for our trip, we hadn’t watched the weather in the preceding weeks and found the property very wet and muddy after a couple of weeks of rain. We ended up getting bogged for the first time ever! The caretaker was helpful when we contacted him, but wish we had been warned prior to arriving that we shouldn’t drive on the grass and that we also wouldn’t be able to access most of the property in a 2WD and small trailer. We finally found a campsite only to find the nearby portaloo full to the brim and unusable. This was remedied on the day we were packing to leave so had no use of these facilities. The views made up for the inconveniences and we found the owner/caretaker very friendly and responsive

Beautiful views and lots of camping areas so you can find your own private area. I loved the bush showers, lovely hot water too. Peter was a great host and checked I was ok with everything.

Caretaker was a bit unreasonable. Each night at exactly 10pm cane and told us we were laughing too loud. We were not that loud just few laughs around the fire. Music was low. There were not even people camping near us

Lovely relaxing area, not too busy but not empty. I can imagine it gets very busy.
Great views all around. A little rain on and off over the weekend but otherwise sunny.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Quiet when I went, My dog had the best time. Would definitely recommend. Reception didnt work for optus. But that was the whole point 🤣
Would love to go back for a longer period and check out the local town and pub.

Stunning Views, But No Peace and

We stayed at Site 4 and were looking forward to the stunning views of Misty Mountain, which did not disappoint. Sadly, our experience was overshadowed by a very loud generator that ran continuously throughout the day and into the night. It completely disrupted the peaceful atmosphere we were hoping for. We were so disappointed that we decided to leave a day early, losing $60 in the process. A real shame, as the location itself is beautiful.

This place was so beautiful and magical. So easy to navigate as well. Loved that we could choose our own sites and that there is so many to choose from. Even though it was raining most of the time, it was still an amazing experience. 100% coming back!

We camped at the bottom of camp 4. What a beautiful spot. We nabbed a massive covered shelter which was a god send in the rain, still able to have fires in the pit provided underneath which was perfect. Great amenities kept clean and stocked up by the caretakers. The games room was a hit with the kids very friendly ladies at the cafe. Huge property didn’t get a chance to explore everything due to the rain did get pretty muddy as expected but still worth the experience. Looking forward to coming back again soon!!

First time here and loved. Stayed at Camp 3, good facilites with shower and toilet, close to dam and nice views. Enjoyed walking around the grounds. Nice little cafe station open in games room. This is a great campground and can’t wait to return.
