Absolutely beautiful spot next to the Nambucca river. So peaceful and the river was flowing well.
Would recommend this spot to anyone wanting a bit of solitude. The visiting cows with their babies was a treat! Thank you Nick for sharing your special piece of paradise! We will return!

Great spot, would stay again. We found a level spot but if you had a few groups some people would be on a bit of a slope. The river is amazing.

We loved this beautiful and secluded river front camp. It's not far from Bowraville, Macksville and Nambucca Heads with less than 40min to Scott's Head. Nick is a friendly host and his cattle were a little curious and well mannered.

We camped 2 nights in our tent at Nick’s place and had the most amazing time. We swam in the crystal clear river, relaxed listening to the water flowing and birds singing, and roasted marshmallows on the fire at night. Such a beautiful place.

Arrived too late in the day for this site and boy was that a mistake. Absolutely perfect camp site with the cleanest water I’ve swam in in a while! Add this spot to your next trip! Thanks for a great stay!

Nick's campsite was beautifully nested overlooking the river, which makes for some amazing sunrises. It was private and the nearby tree cover added protection from the wind and afternoon sun.
I highly recommend Nick's campsite to anyone looking for a secluded getaway that isn't out back of whoop-whoop.

This is such a beautiful spot by the river, I'd recommend it to anyone. There was nobody else around when I was there. Took a bit of finding down some back roads which I suppose is how you get the quiet spots. Would recommend a 4WD vehicle but if you're careful then a 2WD should make it(some loose gravel). Nick was very helpful and came and assisted

We really enjoyed our 4 nights at Nick's. Got to experience the creek in cystal clear swim mode and then running fast mode after a big storm had it running fast. The spot is very quiet and peacful and wasn't muddy despite the storm. The cows are cheeky but very good fun on their daily visits. If you are looking to get out while visiting the Nambucca Heads is only 20 mins away and Makesville is 15 mins.

Lovely and secluded, Cows were a fun to have about, fresh water creek was great.
If towing a van please be aware that the driveway entry to the property is directly after the bridge - ie. About only about 5-10mtrs - if you miss it there are not many spots to turn a rig around for a while.

We took our 1969 Viscount caravan and our dogs to Nick’s place. We had a fabulous few days. We cooled off in the crystal clear creek and enjoyed watching the many black cows and calves. It was a lovely place to relax and unwind.
Thoroughly recommend staying at Nicks Hipcamp !

Absolutely loved our time at Nick's place ~ we will certainly be back. I couldn't get over how crystal clear and clean the water was, and full of special rocks! Such an invigorating area. Lots of wildlife. Gorgeous sunrise/sunset. Lots of room to set up and easy to get to. The cows come past in the morning and the afternoon which isn't a bother at all. My 3 year old and 11 year old had an absolute ball exploring the lay of the land, swimming, catching tadpoles and finding cool rocks. Nick himself is a lovely bloke, super grateful that he has opted to share his little slice of paradise with the world. 🙏

River/creek is so nice, can't believe how clear the water is.
Great weekender site.
If taking dogs be careful as there are ticks everywhere, maybe just the time of year, just make sure treatments are up to date.

Camp site was beautiful. Completely secluded and easy to find / access. Lovely fresh water clear river to have fun in. There are ticks ( as is a given for the inland area ) So just make sure any pets are protected and treated! Would definitely be stoked to stay again !

This is an idyllic location and we felt very lucky to have the opportunity to stay here. Ultimately you are sharing the property with a herd of cattle which is exciting for the kids, but it is worth packing away your gear and awning etc if heading away from camp for an extended period from our experience. All up this is a beautiful, private location that is worth a visit.

Absolutely a great camp on the crystal clear river. Easy acess to the water. Plenty of space and very quiet. Great camp and a good spot for about 3-4 campers if you need a place to hang out with friends.

The most amazing beautiful place I have camped in, this was the first time I had used Hipcamp and as a middle aged solo traveller that only travels with her dog I felt very safe the entire time. The river is amazingly clean and the camp grounds are very well maintained. Loved it when the cows came to visit and abundant bird life, being a vet nurse I spotted some usual animals but you can discover these for your self, I won’t let too many surprises out of the bag. Loved that I had the place to myself and the privacy factor, but I knew if I got into trouble the owners are up the hill, The photos don’t do it justice if you are sitting on the fence, just book it now you won’t be disappointed. Great spot all to yourself, freshly mowed lawns to camp on, right beside the flowing river. The river is so clear and refreshing to relax in. Butterflies in abundance and waking up to the cows mooing and kookaburras is amazing. Would definitely book again

It’s wonderful to have access to spaces such as Nick’s, much appreciated. Didn’t mind the cows (they came they went), good shaded areas were available, best part was the water! Fabulous! Nice and quiet for the most part but can appreciate that it’s a working property with tractor, excavator noise within earshot at times. Thanks again :-)
