Spacious camp sites on the river bank of the Manning, each site had a fireplace, a water tank next to a communal shelter with a table,
This enabled us to have fresh water for a nightly shower and general use , there was a rough boat ramp next to the property where we launched our tinnie, a 4WD is recommended for this.
The waterfront wasn’t for swimming as the sand turned into mud after about 3 metres out, But was good enough to leave the boat in the water and tie it up to a tree for the 3 days.
Few crabs and fish around which was a bonus, Coopernook Pub on the river was a 20 minute trip in the boat for lunch and a couple of beers. Every afternoon we sat under the shady trees on the river bank and soaked up the North East breeze on some pretty warm days.
Location is 5 minutes off the main highway just North of Taree which would suit travellers looking to stop overnight , this camp suited our needs for a catchup with great mates,
