Be sure to explore our array of offerings: Maiden Jewel Camping beckons with diverse camping areas: The Waterhole 1: A communal haven boasting 20 campsites, nestled by serene dams teeming with Silver Perch and Murray Cod. While facilities include portaloos without showers, the allure of kayaking or cooling off in the dam awaits. Accessible via 4WD, guests can traverse the trails on foot or by bike. Pet-friendly, but leashes are recommended due to abundant wildlife. Picturesque Maiden Jewel: Spanning the rest of the property, it hosts over 50 campsites, both Private and Communal. The Long Flat Waterhole 2: Positioned at the property's front, offering easy access to a delightful swimming dam. Ideal for families, it features vast open spaces for recreational activities. Camping here grants access to all waterholes on the property. For seekers of solitude, inquire about our private sites, like The View Campsite, Hillside Camp, and The Bluff, each boasting spectacular vistas and proximity to fishing and swimming spots. We have something for everyone, with over 30 private, off-grid sites available, each accommodating multiple vehicles and ensuring privacy and serene views. Private and Community Campsites! For those who enjoy solitude, our private campsites offer tranquility and space. If you prefer socializing, our Waterhole and Long Flat campsites can accommodate dozens of campers without feeling crowded. Enjoy the company of like-minded adventurers around a cozy campfire. Outdoor Activities for Everyone. With several dams perfect for swimming, kayaking, or fishing, and over 10 kilometers of trails for bushwalking and bike riding, there's no shortage of activities. Explore the Petticoat Fire Trail or follow one of the many slashed tracks to immerse yourself in nature. Wildlife and Scenic Beauty. Spot a variety of wildlife, including kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, deer, wombats, and even some threatened bird species like the Grey Crowned Babblers. For a truly magical experience, The Waterhole is a great space for large groups of campers nestled below the stunning Wingen Maid. This is just one camping area on our 720-acre campers paradise. This campsite is accessible by all vehicles. This is just 1 of our 4 Waterholes (dams) where you can camp, swim, and fish. You have access to the whole property for bushwalking, push bike riding, or exploring in your 4WD (slowly and safely strictly 20km speed limit).  There are toilets available at the Waterhole. Fishing is available in all dams on the property just go for a swim or just chill out and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Be sure to check out our 6 seater Can-am Buggy Property Tour $15 ea max 5 people taking around 1 hour and 13kms showing all of the campsites, our horses and cattle plus an abundance of wildlife. Bookings essential. Maiden Jewel is located at the foothills of Burning Mountain (Mount Wingen). We are located close to nearby towns Scone and Murrurundi which boast some of the best fine dining restaurants, art galleries, Distilleries, and boutique shops in Upper Hunter Valley. The experience we offer and the picturesque views always bring visitors coming back for more. Be sure to check out the Extras we offer to make your stay comfortable and very memorable. No loud music or disruptive behavior after 10 pm, as there are families also sharing this space. Please note: whilst we welcome dogs, we have a strict on-leash-only policy due to the presence of horses and riders, and livestock, moving around the property.
