Unfortunately this is not the camp for us it was very noisy I felt like I was sleeping on a freeway, the roads are very busy and start early hours of the morning. It also was not very private and very exposed to the elements. The river is beautiful and the host was lovely it just wasn’t for us. We wanted something more private and quiet. I wouldn’t want to camp there if all sites were booked everyone would be too close together. To me three sites max and even then it wouldn’t have been for me. Sorry

We only had a quick over night stay but Helen was lovely and met us on arrival and departure. The camp spot was beautiful, lovely views of the river and they provide a fire pit. We even got to see a beautiful black swan cruising down the river.

What a magical spot on the river. What a fabulous view of the river and farmland. The kids loved watching the cows in the paddock along the drive a great spot to fish relax and spent time with the family Just a small drive away from south west rocks, hat head and Gladstone finding great little coffee spots along the way.

What a awesome place! Helen was so friendly and welcoming, firewood was dropped at the fire bin. Road noise but its not loud as its on the other side of the river. Caught a few fish! Honestly enjoyed the whole time, so close to other towns and beaches.

Absolutely lovely spot and lovely hosts. A bit boggy after the recent rain so 4wd necessary but I don't think it's always like that. They are putting gravel down to make it more accessible. Serene spot with great sunset and sunrise. Close to hat head, crescent head, South West rocks. Would definitely stay again. We were also offered water to fill caravan tanks on arrival which was ace.

Amazing little peace of paradise.
We put our paddle boards straight into the river, had a swim right from our camp! Perfect! Would definitely recommend to everyone! Loved it!
Sadly there is some road noise and the sound of dogs barking most evenings.

Great relaxing couple of days on the river for us. Not far from home allowed us to quickly head how for an hour and feed horses etc.
A little work to level it up a bit and some regular mowing would make it a great place to go back ...... Col was very welcoming though offering water to fill our tanks on the way in, and exiting if we wanted it

Great little camp spot right on the river!! Helen was a great host who greeted us upon arrival. We stayed for 2 nights and were able explore Hat Head and SWR very easily. The sunset was awesome!! Highly recommend!!

Our two groups thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Helen and Alan’s property. Wonderful people who were very kind, friendly and accommodating. The camping spot right on the waters edge was beautiful. We even got to view a cow give birth to a bull calf which my five year old hasn’t stopped talking about. I would highly recommended a stay here.

We had a fantastic stay at this Hipcamp! The location was perfect for us, with easy access to nearby beaches and close proximity to Kempsey for supplies. The site was very spacious and private, which was great for us and our two dogs—it’s definitely pet-friendly! We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived, with the hosts greeting us warmly. Overall, it was a peaceful and convenient spot to unwind and explore the area, with plenty of space away from the crowds. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway with great access to beaches and amenities.

Stunning camping spot along the river (you can fish), thank you Helen and the family for the warm welcome and the beautiful stay.
Also only 6 min from the site, you can go dinner at the Glastone Heritage Hotel. By the River. Another great spot!
