La'Connor Ridge - Regenerative Farm

La'Connor Ridge is a working regenerative farm set on 150 acres of Australian bushland. The campsite is away from the daily activities, surrounded by bush, and features a rustic (empty) glamping tent and a composting toilet. There is space for up to three additional tents and cars, as well as an outdoor fire pit, a dam, and a seasonal creek. Firewood is available for $20 per bag. The property is at the end of a dead-end road, 20 minutes from Paterson, an hour from Newcastle, and 2.5 hours from Sydney. We are a Land for Wildlife nature reserve, so there are plenty of wallabies, a vast array of birds, lots of local cows to spot, and maybe even some pigs, depending on where our farm animals are that day. The space features an empty 5m bell tent set on a rustic wooden deck, which guests are welcome to use as a sheltered hangout space—perfect for escaping the sun or rain, or as a fun spot for kids to play. There’s plenty of room for up to three additional tents/behicles around the clearing, giving you flexibility whether you're camping as a couple, family, or small group. A composting toilet is available on-site, and a dedicated campfire area invites slow evenings under the stars, with wide open space for stargazing and soaking up the quiet surroundings. While you may spot soft lights from the main house through the trees at night, it’s tucked well up the hill on the other side of the creek—so the campsite still feels private, secluded, and immersed in nature. Campervans and RVs can access the site in dry conditions, however, please note that access may be difficult for heavy vehicles or 2WDs after rain. The campsite is located approximately 200m from the road.

There is a slide off the tent deck for little kids, it's a little slow but a cute way down!

Bring your own water, purify from lake or pond

You COULD swim in the dam, we haven't but it's there and as long as you don't damage the water ecosystem that's okay.
Pack it out
Please plan to take all rubbish home with you. There are security cameras near the bins further down our road so please don't stop and put anything there.

La'Connor Ridge Camp
Stayed at this lovely place for 2 nights and loved both, was very cozy away from everything and felt very relaxed in nature. We had some native animals visit us of a night and they were very cute to watch. We were welcomed by the lovely people and was gifted with herbs from there garden, she also helped out with little questions which we were grateful for, would fully recommend anyone trying to get away for a couple nights or a few from the house and into the nature, having lots of room for people.

La'Connor Ridge Camp
We had a wonderful weekend camping at Amy and Tom’s. They were very welcoming and fantastic hosts. The camping space was great, private, plenty of space, a nice mix of shade and sun, and it was well set out in a lovely patch of bush. We enjoyed listening to the birds and frogs in the dam as we sat around the campfire. The toilet was close by (but not too close). Our toddler loved playing in the bell tent and on the little slide. She also loved seeing the kangaroos, neighbouring cows, and a highlight was our hosts showing us their pigs as they fed them. We had a nice walk through the bush down the dry creek bed. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back. Thanks so much Amy and Tom!
