Kookaburra is a 20-acre farm located between Ulladulla and Nowra on the NSW South Coast, just under a three-hour drive from Sydney and Canberra. It offers a peaceful and authentic bush experience, ideal for a weekend getaway or an overnight stop, especially for those travelling through the Jervis Bay area. Please note: We are a peaceful, family-friendly site and do not accept group bookings under any circumstances. Each site allows one family/vehicle and one trailer/caravan per booking only. No additional vehicles, caravans, or trailers are permitted. If you're unsure whether your setup complies, please contact Christine before booking. You can camp in an open paddock or relax under the shade of tree canopies. A short bushwalk will take you to a quiet creek, and the area is home to local wildlife, including kookaburras, wallabies, and secretive wombats. The farm also has a variety of animals, including cows, chickens, Elmo the horse and Warren the Sheep, who may greet you when you arrive. At Kookaburra, we ensure that guests have plenty of space and privacy, although you may occasionally see other visitors in the area. We operate on a self-sufficient basis, so please take all your rubbish with you and respect the natural environment and the next visitors. Fires are allowed (subject to fire danger conditions), and you're welcome to gather your firewood. đŸ”„ Firewood for sale at the gate – $20! đŸȘ”đŸšȘ. đŸ„š Fresh free-range eggs – $6 a dozen 🐔, Text us and we'll drop some down to your site 🚗 Pets are welcome but must be supervised around the farm animals and wildlife. Please note that phone reception is limited, so come prepared. While a 2WD vehicle is usually acceptable, adverse weather conditions may require a 4WD. Be mindful of wombat holes, tree stumps, and snakes when exploring the property. Overall, we had a good weekend away and stayed 3 nights. The camp spot is private and super close to a breautiful and peaceful creek. We didn't mind the farm animals (moslty cows) however on the flip side camp was covered with cow dung which wasn't ideal. Maybe a fenced off zone for the campsites and still be able to interact with the animals would be better. The flies were thick and sticky! Toilet was very clean and good for a composting drop toilet. We saw kookaburras, wombats and a bandicoot!

I loved staying at Good Luck Spot. The cows, calves and horse welcomed us, and the peacefulness of the star-filled sky and the sound of kookaburras laughing made me look forward to coming back

We loved our stay at Kookaburra. Our site—The Cackle—was easy to find following the host’s directions. The site was peaceful and spacious. We had been worried about being able to hear traffic on the nearby highway, but the few times we heard it, it was very faint. Loved all the wildlife—birds, kangaroos and wombats—and farm animals, and it was great being able to bring our dog and let her off leash to explore.

Christine’s land was great for us. It was our first family trip with our toddler and friends plus dogs. It was a great experience. It felt safe as Christine’s home was close by. It was an easy intro to camping as Nowra is close by if you were stuck for essentials. The toilet was very well maintained. There was a lovely creek close by which the kids and dogs loved. Christine’s land has some lovely animals, cows, horses, a sheep and a pig. All were very friendly and safe. We saw wombats, rabbits and kangaroos: wallabies also. The amenities are basic but authentic and aa described. They note to take care for wombat holes and this is true. It wasn’t a busy site with only 4 spaces and room between each. Christine’s comms were great, thanks for a great stay!

Great location, quiet and peaceful, wombats spotted within 15 mins of arrival big hit with the kids. Creek was fresh but didn’t bother the kids. Plenty of fun had over the 3 days.

Beautiful camping spot with farm animals surrounding the area. Being pet friendly was a huge bonus, they do have a toilet nearby and they also sell firewood near the entry. We did enjoy our stay. Thank you having us!

We enjoyed our stay at Kookaburra. The creek is crystal clear and waist deep in parts with a sandy bottom. The kids loved exploring. The toilet was incredibly clean. Access was very easy. We were a bit exposed in high wind in the paddock, but can't be helped. Would definitely recommend.

It was a mid-week 3 nights stop. Easy to find from hosts instructions. The camp-site (Riot) was nice and flat, easy parking four our hybrid camper. There was some nice shade in the afternoon, drop toilet was close and clean. We had the whole place to ourselves for most of the time, apart from cattle, roos and bandicoots visiting us. Very relaxing - perfect timing with NO BUGS!

“Good Luck”
It was so nice to have such a large and well separated camp site, close to the creek and trees. The site is on the edge of a paddock, but you feel like its the bush because of the proximity to trees and the quietness.

Kookaburra Campsite - Excellent Bush Experience Christine was fantastic with quick communication throughout our booking. The campsite is beautifully situated under the trees with great natural shade. I loved watching the kookaburras hunting for their meals and their laughing - such a treat! The nights were filled with native animals moving about, giving the authentic Australian bush experience. Perfect spot for anyone wanting genuine nature camping with an excellent host

Amazing Stay – Christine Was Outstanding We had a fantastic stay! The place was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. Christine was truly outstanding – and accommodating. She even allowed a late check-out, which made things so much easier. Overall, I’m very satisfied and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

We had the coolest stay here! We saw a wombat (which I was a little too excited to see lol) a bandicoot and their beautiful farm animals. This camp was so beautiful and we were sad to leave!! Toilet was kept in immaculate condition and was great to have! Thanks guys!

Fantastic level site which was peaceful and relaxing. Exploring the creek with the dogs was a highlight! The cows and horse were friendly and the calves very curious! Great seeing wombats at dusk and sitting around the fire. Drop toilet very clean. We are already planning to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kookaburra Riot camp site. The property is absolutely stunning and we enjoyed relaxing in the serenity while watching the animals graze. There was plenty of room for our kids to run off their energy while exploring nature. It was easy to find and exactly as described. The drop toilet was clean and smell free. We will definitely come back again soon,

Spent 3 nights here with a friend and her son. We camped on the Bushman’s block and absolutely loved it! It’s a beautiful and peaceful spot and we definitely plan on returning.
