Check out this clip of our property: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qvozr9R1ULI Come see our genuine Northern Territory Water Buffalo. Kookabookra Falls are simply stunning! cascading down 100mtrs of stepping rocks. Located within the property of Dunooki which consists of 6000 acres of pristine wilderness. We are a part of the historical area of Kookabookra Township which boasted a population of 5000. Once a bustling Gold Town sharing its spoils with the nearby famous gold rush town of Bear Hill. Our unique location puts you right in the middle of some of the best fossicking grounds for both gold and gems. Your bush getaway is said by many to be the equivalent of your very own private Nature Park and is home to some unique and endangered species. This property has so much character and points of interest in and around, that you will be hard-fixed in exploring it all. We also have a number of Campsites to choose from, each of them offering its own set of differences to suit your Adventure and requirements.

Site 1 - "Kookabookra Central"
Perfect Getaway
Kookaburra Falls is the most amazing property I have stayed on. It's multiple beautiful waterfalls, abundant wildlife and generous host made it perfect.

It is a very peaceful place. I loved the sound of the waterfall and the creek. Amazing array of animals and my particular favourite was the rock wallaby. I think that a four wheel drive is the safest option. Great weekend!

Kookabookra Falls
Country getaway
Getting to the property is very easy however there is a lot of dirt road but that’s half the adventure. On the property it was steep in some places and towing a heavy van made it hard going but still possible. A 4x4 is almost a must. Once set up and If you want peace and quiet and away from all technology then this is the place. The sites are on a slight slope so levelling by digging a wheel in was needed but very spacious area. Take a chainsaw for wood which is in abundance. A short walk to the falls, a flushing toilet and a large riverfront where the platypus play. Relaxing swing chairs hanging in the trees by the river. Nuggetty creek was a short drive and tried our luck for gold but no success. This is a fabulous place to get away from todays busy lifestyle to just relax and recharge the batteries.

Kookabookra Falls
Very unique and beautiful piece of land, a different experience than the coastal communities. Wallabies and kangaroos in the camping area, beautiful falls, and the river gorge was impressive! (4WD is strongly recommended, at least a vehicle with good ground clearance.)
