⛺ Ridge-Top Camping with Ocean + Hinterland Views | Near Gold Coast and Byron Bay (AWD and 4WD vehicles only) Kilaris is a charming family-owned estate spanning 50 scenic acres in the Tweed Shire, just a short drive from the Queensland border. Our enchanting property boasts breathtaking landscapes, offering mesmerizing views of both the Tweed Coast and the hinterlands of northern New South Wales. Kilaris enjoys a prime location—only a 17-minute drive from the Gold Coast Airport and the renowned Kirra Beach and Coolangatta. It’s also just 30 minutes from world-famous Byron Bay. Our idyllic destination is designed for those seeking a reprieve from the everyday hustle and bustle. Set up camp and soak in the views, or take a hike through our enchanting subtropical rainforest. Kilaris is a vision—a place where people can reconnect with nature, share sunsets on the ridge, and experience the peace that comes from stepping away from the rush of daily life. 🌿 Good to Know • Vehicle Access: AWD or 4WD only. This is part of the adventure for you outdoorsy types who will love the exclusivity. It’s nothing extreme—just a gravel driveway that’s a bit steep for 2WD vehicles. (2WD access coming soon.) • Pets: To protect our resident koalas, wallabies, and birdlife, Kilaris is pet-free. Your stay helps us conserve this special environment. • Campfires: Fire pits are provided. Please use responsibly and follow local fire restrictions. 🌅 Tip: Our ridge is famous for both sunrise and sunset views, so set your alarm—it’s worth it!Set up your tent or camper on this spacious 100m² site perched high on the ridge, with sweeping panoramic views that stretch from sunrise to sunset. 🌿 Room to breathe – a grassy site with endless horizons. 🔥 Firepit included – bring your own wood or grab some on-site. 🌳 Adventure or relax – wander through 35 acres of subtropical rainforest, or kick back and take it easy. 🚙 Access – AWD or 4WD vehicles only (single-axle campers welcome). ✨ While there are no bathrooms or power hook-ups yet, fresh rainwater is available (we drink it ourselves, but feel free to bring a filter). 👨‍👩‍👧 Families - Due to the natural ridge-line setting, we suggest this site is best for older children. Younger ones are welcome, but will require supervision at all times. By day, explore nearby beaches, hinterland trails, and local towns.
