Incredible, idyllic, mini Eden! We can’t compliment this spot enough! We’ve already booked more time here! Enough space for bikes, sports games, adventures, exploring and more! With high energy dogs and son the space Bea has here is amazing!
The camping area felt protected from wind with the trees but still sunny enough for solar. It’s so well maintained, clean and tidy and well signed.

Kallarroo is a beautiful and nature integrated experience. From the drive down to the paddock where you move past rolling hills full of horses, birds and kangaroos to the open pasture and cattle of the field beyond the river, the entire experience is incredible. The site itself is gorgeous and secluded and is exactly as advertised on Hipcamps - they’ve actually been quite modest in their description! Bea was a magnificent host who provided detailed and clear instruction to make the process as seamless as possible. We loved our stay at Kallarroo and would definitely come back. I couldn’t recommend this stay highly enough!

Secluded Kallarroo Camping was indeed secluded!!! Exactly what my partner and I were after - being able to book the site for ourselves was such a treat and we were blown away the minute we entered the paddock, the friendly horses on arrival, the sound of the creek flowing, the star gazing and echidnas! We were really able to spread out on the site and felt truly alone, the firepit set-up was great, will definitely be bringing some friends back with us next time. Make sure you follow and download the directions provided, there are a few cross roads but theres Kallaroo signs at each one so keep an eye out! The road to the stay was in good condition considering the rain over the last few days, but there is lots of wildlife, go slow and I wouldn't recommend driving in at dusk. An excellent stay, thankyou Bea for having us for a magical night!

The property/camp site was lovely, secluded and well maintained.
The fire pit was great and was certainly the highlight of the property.
The access to the creek was not maintained that well and the water wasn’t suitable for swimming.
Overall the property was nice. We enjoyed watching the cows come down to the creek for a drink every evening.

This is a secluded campsite in a beautiful natural setting. Our group (two families, four dogs) were the only ones in this quiet place, and we enjoyed walking along the river and amongst the granite tors on the higher ground. Dogs are allowed off-leash, which was special for us all. There is a well-made area for an open fire, but otherwise this is a natural campsite and you will need to bring your own drinking water and a porta-loo. (Or use the thoughtfully provided shovel.)
Don’t expect electricity or wifi — but there is plenty to see and hear in the surrounding bush as the sun goes down.

Secluded Kallarroo Camping
We found Bea's place to be a great place to camp for two days. We wanted a bush camp for us, our friends and our four (well controlled) dogs, and Kallarroo was just right. We had a hybrid camper and a tent, and there was plenty of flat, grassy land beside the river to set up camp. Access from the Snowy Mountains Hwy and Nimmitabel is easy and the final leg of the route across the paddocks is well marked, along grassy wheel tracks. Bea was very helpful and gave good directions to get to the campground. We were self contained regarding water, toilet, etc, so this farm camp suited our needs perfectly!

Site was open and private.
Did not feel that there was clear access to water,there was a barbwire fence bordering off water.
I feel our van which is 22ft might be too big as there was a dip in pathway getting in.
This caused us to scrape rear of caravan.
Hill into camp could present problems in the wet as this is grass.
Also overhanging trees need to be pruned as these were also scraped along top of caravan.

My partner and I had a wonderful time tent camping on Bea's stunning property, despite high winds!
The camping spot is in a back paddock alongside the river, with beautiful bushland and craggy rocks surrounding. Waking up to the sound of the river and the local wildlife was magical. A particular highlight was the friendly horses, who were keen to introduce themselves and get a pat.
The farm is also only 20 mins from Nimmitabel (which has a delicious bakery) and is just over an hour out of Jindabyne, with a spectacular drive between the two.
Highly recommend - we hope to come back in the future! :)

Bea’s place is special. It was the perfect way to start our trip. The access is good and it was easy to find. The camp spot is as described, secluded, which is just how we like to camp. Plenty of flat ground to set up, lovely fire pit and close to a great flowing river. It’s also pristine. The ponies are an added bonus. If you are in the area I would highly recommend Kallarroo.

My friends and I stayed at Bea’s beautiful land for a night and my goodness we wished we extended our stay!
such a nice wide open area and lovely little fire pit spot. So quiet and it was so nice to switch off and only hear the fire, creek and cows! definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time exploring.
The camp site was perfect for my old dog to explore. Plenty of wood for a fire.
Great communication from the owner and tippers for fishing and about the horses.
Such a shame it wasn’t longer. Sound of the trickling water at night.
Lovely set up with the benches around the fire. Will definitely be visiting again.
And yes you have limited reception after Nimmitabel so down load your directions. Well marked directions. Said hello to the horses and cows. Was really nice to unwind.

Incredible views and an abundance of wildlife to observe. The cabin is rustic in all the right ways, but still equipped with all the modern amenities one could wish for. Add a barbecue, a wood fire hot tub and a fire pit and you’ve got this amazing cabin.

If you like to get away from it all, this camp is for you. The only noise you’ll hear is the trickling water from the nearby river, the beautiful songs of the many birds in the area, a few cows and sheep and some very friendly horses will come and have a chat with you too. Plenty of wildlife to be seen. Great little camp area with a fire pit and some handy benches and a throne made from local trees. Great hosts leaving you in peace, thank you for sharing your property.

This site was absolutely beautiful. Lots of open, level space to make camp, a lovely camp fire set up, and complete privacy. We had the most relaxing weekend and definitely wish we could have spent more time here. Our host Bea was warm and responsive and the directions to camp were spot on. We have already recommended this camp to friends and we hope to be back soon.

The most perfect secluded camp spot right on the Numeralla river. Many options for exploring on foot with either easy tracks in open spaces or more adventurous walks to different areas of the river.
We live nearby and stayed at Kallarroo as our big old dog can’t travel very far these days, his walking options are limited. He had a ball!! Both of our dogs loved it and our old boy even managed to play in the river for a little bit which made the visit worth it alone.
Loads of kookaburras calling, a few magpies with their sensational warbling, quite a few roos, a very well conditioned blue tongue and then some curious horses visiting one morning 😊 We couldn’t be happier with this spot.
What started out as a nearby camping option for our old dog who can’t travel far but loves camping, turned in to a great destress and unwind for the humans too! We will definitely be back.

Kallarroo was genuinely as good as the listing describes. Very secluded, with the only visitors being some friendly horses. There is reasonable access to the creek running through the property and lots of wildlife.
There is a fireplace set up for visitors to enjoy.

Stunning property! Campsite is a big open clearing surrounded by bush and a river. Bea was very accomodating and guided us on where we could access and fish the river where we ended up catching a few trout and spotting some platypuses. Definitely recommend!

Kallarroo Cottage- Rustic Log Cabin
Kallaroo was everthing we hoped it would be and so much more. So many beautiful walks around the property espescially down to the river where we spotted platypus and wombat burrows. Our dog loved roaming the property with swims in the river and curling up by the open fire place at night. Lots of friendly horses to pat and a gorgeous little donkey named horse! Even the Emus will come and check you out too. The cabin was extremly clean and comfortable and the extra touches of a local bottle of wine and homemade cookies was very thoughtful. A fully stocked bar fridge with mircro brewery Longstocking bevies was a great touch and well worth sampling. We highly recommend this beautiful place. Thank you so much Bea and Norbert for your incredible hospitaity
