Clean campsite with lots of space. Site is generally on a slope, easily fixed though with RTT, just leveled the car with some rocks lying about. Heaps of firewood about, and a big firepit area. Table and chairs were handy. Great location overall, easy to get into Berrima 25mins. Beautiful Bush walk half way up to the toilet and off to the right. Some good tracks to choose from. We had perfect winter weather, sunny days and cold clear nights. Would definitely stay again.

The Gorge Campsite
We stayed at the gorge campsite and the views over the gorge were absolutely stunning. The campsite itself was flat, spacious and private. Lots of firewood and beautiful birds. Sunrise and sunset were particularly special! Only thing to be aware of is it’s a fair walk to the toilet if you need it. Would definitely stay again!

Each spot on the property is secluded and unique, giving you plenty of space and privacy during your stay.
The toilet and shower are a great addition to the property recently, but we only stayed two nights, in winter, so didn’t test out the cold shower this time.
Provided fire pits were handy and they helped keep the chill at bay, with plenty of wood around the property.
Stunning views of the gorge and a few small trails to walk through parts of the property.
Located near a few wineries and Joadja Distillery and Historic Village, which is definitely worth a visit, as well as historic Berrima and other local towns in the Highlands.
Only suggestion is to remember to check the forecast as we had looked for temp and rain before arriving, but hadn’t factored in the reasonably strong winds. Didn’t ruin our trip, but could have been too much for some. This is obviously a location tip and in no way something that Leanne can control. Just good to be prepared.

A wonderful camp to spend the night! This was the first time taking our new puppy camping and we couldn't have had a better spot. The campsite was beautiful and felt super private so he wasn't overwhelmed. The amenities were great, and the walks were interesting but not too long.

We had a lovely stay at the Wali Gnana site for 2 nights. The site was tucked around the corner with plenty of bush to make it feel private. Plenty of wood to collect in the area + a wood pile to make a good fire. Leanna kindly let me use the wheelbarrow to collect which made it a lot easier.
Highly recommend walking down to the gorge lookouts early morning (and day) which is an easy stroll with a little down hill (and back up). The fog fully fills the gorge in the morning and was incredible to stand and listen to the birds and running water. There is also a walk through yeh gate at the site into the bush which can go down to the gorge I believe. May be wrong about that but we just walked the flat section which was great.
It’s a very peaceful and quiet place with lots of nature to listen to and stars to see. Will be back for sure.

Wali Gnana Camp 1
A map would have been extremely helpful, especially for guests arriving late like we did. While we enjoyed our stay, we found the price slightly high, as the site didn't offer a clear, open space like the images suggested and had quite a bit of horse manure. That said, the addition of a toilet, shower, and handwashing area was a great touch. Lisa also replied quickly.

The Gorge Campsite
We loved our stay here! We were luckily able to camp on the Gorge site which is so unique and quite large. The river was up so the energy after big rain was awsome. The song of the lyrebirds was a bonus we saw plenty of wildlife. Leanne was a great and very accommodating host and a lovely lady. We will be back. Ask plenty of questions like most diligent hipcamp users and I'm sure you find a spot that suits.

Wali Gnana Camp 1
The campsite was amazing, the toilet was very clean and whilst we didn’t use the shower it was big and clean as well.
The campsite is huge with enough room to cater large groups, people travelling with kids or pets and still have your own secluded area.
The walks are easy and have amazing views over the gorge, with seats and tables to allow you to relax while taking it in.
We’ll come back and stay again

Sunset camp was an amazing spot with great views in the evening and night time. Misty mornings made for relaxing sleep ins and there was very little disturbances from neighbours (occasional dog or chicken 😁 ) Jordja historic town and distillery is just down the road for those interested in a tour or a tasting. Would recommend to anyone.

All very accessible anyway, easy walk to overlook the stunning gorge.
Cold shower not ideal but certainly better than nothing! Proper flushing toilet well stocked with paper and a great luxury to have!
Very peaceful location. Can hear everything at night time. Foxes having a rabbit feast at 2am by the sound of it.
Recommend this wali gnana spot with kids. Flattish grassed area good for playing and no gorge anxiety required.

The Paddock
An excellent choice if you want peace and privacy. Amenities were clean, instructions were clear, nothing to complain about. Stars were amazing, the gorge was incredible, and free firewood was the cherry on top. Will definitely be back and soon!

Absolutely loved staying here. The Paddock has plenty of room and well maintained. It had a lovely fire pit set up and lots of firewood to collect. Leanne was so friendly and made the effort to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed and knew where the toilet and firewood was. The toilet was clean and well maintained. The naturewalks were stunning as well. The perfect place to relax and unwind. I’m looking forward to coming back.

The Gorge campsite is well worth the money. Admittedly it’s not the cheapest of camp sites but the view makes up for the costs.
The campsite itself is large and spacious with plenty of dried gum logs for the fire pit provided.
A short stroll to your private viewing area to the gorge. Chairs and table provided for the sundown drinks and breakky meals.
The drive down is a little steep but nothing a 4wd/AWD couldn’t handle in good weather.
The one downside to the site is it’s a good walk up hill to the loo. I’d recommend bringing your own portable toilet.
Regardless of this my brother and I are already talking about bringing our families back to this site as it’s that good.
We had a great night and can’t thank Leanne enough for having us. We’ll be back!

The property was nice, the gorge walks very pretty, and overall we had a reasonably pleasant stay. But it was a little off. We had booked Wali Gnana but it seems the owners were in the middle of reorganising their campsite locations. We followed the very clear directions that had been emailed and set up in the Wali Gnana site, the noticed the next day that a different area actually matched the Hipcamp photos for Wali Gnana. Hmmm.
Our site was tucked away in the trees and pleasant enough, but it was nonetheless a sloping paddock dotted with horse poo; very different to the pristine, level, grassy area that had prompted us to make our booking. On our second night, we were stunned when other campers arrived and set up camp in the same paddock. Is the owner accepting multiple separate bookings per site? If the site bookings are not exclusive, then that needs to be stated in the property listing, because the expectation is that a site is for one group.
By the time we left, the site sign “Wali Gnana” was replaced with “The Paddock”. It was all rather odd, and the lack of communication about the changes did not sit well.

We had an amazing time at this camp site. It was nice and private, the toilet and amenities were clean and close by, and there were very very friendly and happy dogs and a cat who came and said hello to all of us and joined us for breakfast or would follow us from the toilet to camp which made it feel very much like we were away from home.

What a great peaceful spot to camp. Tommy greeted us on arrival he was well mannered and very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here. Flush toilet was very clean and well maintained. Loads of firewood around the place. Stargazing don’t get much better and the canyon is amazing wish I had my drone to get some good footage.

What a beautiful little part of the world!
The Sunset camp site at the Joadja Gorge Camping Retreat is situated out of the way in private with such a good little lookout into the wilderness below.
Beautiful big campfire site which is great for relaxing around or cooking up a storm and plenty of firewood too.
A nice amount of room for a small family or plenty of room for a couple to relax. Dog friendly and the pups that are on the property are so lovely!
A short walk through nature to the area toilet and outdoor shower, which a so clean and well maintained.
Access to pre-prepared platters or grazing plates and beautiful wine that’s all supplied by local businesses from the area. The seafood platter in particular is so yummy and paired with a white wine from Artemis winery.
Awesome bush walks around the property and into an incredible gorge with running water well below.
Cannot wait to come back and relax in such a beautiful place away from all the hustle and bustle.

Such a lovely property situated in a slice of heaven. I stayed at Sunset and had some trouble with tent pegs following heavy rain the night before and rocky terrain but I adapted and made it work.
Leanne was really helpful and I found it was a nice touch, as a solo female traveler, having her son check in on me the first morning of my stay. Awesome to have a flushing clean toilet on site, it is an uphill walk but not far.
I have no words to describe the gorge it was too epic. Loved waking up to the lyrebirds too. If you're undecided about booking, just do it you won't regret it. Thank you again Leanne :)

Beautiful secluded location with stunning views over the cliffs. Nobody else in sight and the clifftop tables and chairs were the perfect spot for sunset cocktails and brekkie.

Loved tent camping at Sunset site! We had the space to ourselves which was very private with a fire pit. The toilet is a little bit of a walk from the campsite, but it’s an excellent and well kept facility. Loved visiting the animals and Leanne was so lovely. She dropped us fire wood when we enquired about it and was very accommodating.

We enjoyed our time here. The bush walks are worth it - what a view! Our Daughter loved to see the donkey and horses. Leanne was a fantastic host and was more than happy to ensure we had everything for our stay.
Keep an eye out for the wild life - deers, eagles, kangaroos and even some frogs!
