Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2023.
Come and enjoy these river side sites with over 50 acres available to camp, bush walk and mountain bike. With over 600m of river frontage you'll be sure to find a secluded spot to swim, camp and fish. Located in the Grose Vally there are some challenging walking trails adjacent to the camp grounds. Just a 10 minute drive to Richmond, a town located beside the Hawkesbury-Nepean River, it is an interesting combination of modern outer suburbia with a significant number of important historic buildings dating from the 1810s and 1820s. Bring some loose change for a donation to Beyond Blue for kayak hire or to purchase some home grown avocados when in season. Extra vehicles can be paid for as an extra, this money is donated to Beyond Blue.

10/10 for us! We’ll keep grounds. Close to any supplies needed. Beautiful, sandy river swimming in crystal clear water. Love this beautiful property.

Great quiet space, not too far away. River access could be better along the whole site, and we needed to clean some sheep poop out of the site. But other than that, we enjoyed it.

100% nature immersion experience, earth, wood, water, air, fire!!! The gum trees were friendly neighbours, as were the birds. So much area that every campsite felt like acres on your own, all fellow campers very respectful of each other and this lovely spot.

Jila Camp Grounds
It was a nice camp, felt remote even though it wasn't. Clean flushing toilets and plenty of free firewood, but what really stood out was the owners dog that hung out with us and played with our 4 kids. Will be back especially as the warmer season approaches to take advantage of the river that runs through the property. Would recommend more highly if prices were a little lower given we're a family of 6.

Jila Campground was a great place to stay. Beautiful, well kept grounds with clean toilets. Very lovely and quiet, we had the best stay with our toddler, dog and friends.

Great Spot on the river, plenty of grass sites. Bit of construction going on when we stayed but all good. Looks like some glamping sites going in. Would recommend nice spot 30 mins from home.
