Nice camp! Grounds were very well maintained and clean. Amazing tall gum trees spread over the property make for a beautiful area and the river is amazingly clear.

Beautiful campsite with a lot of open space. Not too far to get to so perfect for a small getaway or an overnight camping trip. Camped for one night from 7th to the 8th of June. A lot of firepits available and a lot of space between you and other campers. The toilets are a different story. Not the worst toilet I've been in but it wasn't pleasant either.
Lights did not work on either stalls and one of the stalls had a broken door making you pull the door closed while you do your business. Feels like the toilets are neglected and rarely cleaned. Wouldn't recommend washing your hands. Both sinks had brown water come out of them.
If it wasn't for the questionable toilets, this is the perfect campsite.
Other campers had dogs off-leash. While I'm a dog person myself, I don't appreciate when they wander into our camp setup and pee on our stuff.

Not sure if this was a temporary issue, but in the middle of the campsite there was a hige RV with a diesel generator chained to the caravan. It was running whole evening destroying the whole camping vibe. Plus the campsite had quite a lot of cows poo, not really a problem but for that price we were hoping for much more.

This is the 5th time we’ve visited Jila and we love it! The campground itself is spacious and clean and there are two sets of toilets to choose from. The area is perfect for kids, with lots of places to explore. It’s an added bonus that we can also bring our dog. Thanks for having us once again.

Great camping ground and plenty of space even with other people there you didn’t feel like you were on top of others. Very handy to have the toilets on site but we did have a bit of a walk from the edge of the camp ground. The road to the campsite was a bit rough and I watched a few people get stuck and spin out when taking the hill out so just be cautious.
Only negative feedback would be the number of dog owners who had their dogs off lead and their owners who were not following close behind.
Otherwise it was a great trip and a great place to visit. Will come back in the warmer months when access to the river is open!

Hi,
We stayed in the cabin for two nights and I’m disappointed to say it is not what we expected. Firstly, it is not secluded, there is a work yard right beside it approximately 30 meters away and a house under construction behind it approximately 100meters away.
When we arrived, we were very surprised at this as the photos do not show this, and it is advertised as tranquil. There was a guy welding and cutting metal which generated a lot of noise in the work yard beside the cabin.
Secondly, there is an electrical fence around the cabin to prevent wandering cattle/sheep from entering. No instructions were given on how to open the fence.
It’s not hard to open but I think some info on this should have been provided prior to arriving,
Approximately 60 meters to the other side of the property, cattle/sheep are being fed what looks like a massive quantity of vegetables that have either been discarded by a producer/ farm or shop. The smell from this is absolutely disgusting. I grew up on a farm and I am very used to all types of smells but this is supposed to be a tranquil and secluded cabin retreat!
The cabin itself is of very poor quality build, not particularly clean, and in my opinion thrown together. It states in the listing that firewood is provided, but there wasn’t any. There is a small electric plug in stovetop inside as advised and a Weber BBQ outside which is absolutely filthy and has not been clean in ages if ever! we did not use this’

Great find close to Sydney. Easy check in. Loved the river and being out in nature..you could set up camp anywhere along by river. The cows and sheep loved to pop by and pay us a visit which was fun especially watching the incredible cattle dog round them up and away.
Definitely will be back! Extra bonus of basic toilets and sinks was greats. We will be back!

Lovely settings, spacious and quiet. Beautiful river, clean, slow paced and just down the hill, and the sunrise above it is unforgettable. The host, Phillip, takes care of the place and visitors without being noticed by them, thanks.
But, be warned - fences are charged to control cattle occasionally being allowed to graze, do not touch them (the fences I mean) or you would have a jolt as I did.

My Family and friends loved staying at Jila campgrounds i would definitely recommend it to anybody wanting to go camping with family and friend's and I was amazed how close it is to sydney plus the many bonuses like toilets , stone firepits , and a soccer field will definitely be going back again

We thoroughly enjoyed the camp surrounding and our children loved the creek. It really is a beautiful place. For us the only let down was the toilet facilities. The smell, the dirt, the lack of lighting. If these facilities were improved this would be a truly amazing campsite. I would definitely recommend and come back if facilities were better.

Such an awesome spot! The property is beautiful and the communication was great. Felt like a proper escape from the city without having to go far. My two boys (10 and 7) had the best time — rock skimming, fishing, swimming, and of course sitting around the fire roasting marshmallows. We’ll definitely be back!

Great camping spot - close to Sydney but it didn’t feel like it when we were there. The river was great for the kids and we also enjoyed going for walks around the bush on the trails. Definitely highly recommend this place!
