Nathan’s property was exactly as we had hoped. We had it almost completely to ourselves. The site we were on was large and had ample space for our off-road hybrid camper. There are a number of sites, some with trees and shade, some with more sun, and combinations of both. A very peaceful spot to relax. The property was walking distance to the shops, tavern and the dog friendly beaches. Nathan was a very friendly, pleasant and accommodating host. We will definitely be back many more times.

Over priced for what you get
Admittedly, I decided last minute to book something in the Port Stephens area and this was the only vacancy I could find. I don’t think the other reviews give an accurate depiction of these camps sites. I had a choice of 3 site when I got there. Two were completely exposed to the sun and it was a ridiculously hot weekend. One of which was a slashed area that was so rugged it cut up my feet with thongs on. The other I didn’t bother with because of its sun exposure. I was intending to leave after seeing those two sites thinking I’ve done my money, when the final site was well shaded but I was told neighbouring campers had a barking dog, which they did, but the dog was the lesser of the two evils. I also had my dog, however he doesn’t bark. Again this site had originally been covered in ferns and slashed so the stems from the ferns would penetrate into my feet and stab toes whilst wearing thongs so closed in shoes had to be worn the entire time. Then came the jumping ants that bit me and my friends son repeatedly whilst camping. The area is also mozzie infested so best to bring repellent. I paid $210 for a 2 night stay, with absolutely no ammenities, compare this to a stay last October in the Shoal Bay Caravan Park where I paid the same amount for camping fees and the inclusion of a private ensuite, Iggy’s Haven can’t come close. I’m not sure if they jacked the prices up because of a long weekend but this was a ridiculous price to pay. I wouldn’t stay again.
