Communication from booking was excellent. We were greeted on arrival by the host, his beautiful dogs and friendly hand raised Alpacas! We came in winter and even with no leaves on the trees it was still a pretty sight. The area was easy to access with our SUV and large caravan. The area is so well set up with wood and fire pits, cute rustic areas to sit or fish out of the creek. Plenty of room for multiple vans and room to kick a football. The atmosphere here is serene and a must stay if you are in the area.

What a fantastic Hipcamp! We had such a relaxing stay and absolutely loved the friendly animals—they were definitely one of the highlights and always up for a visit. The property was peaceful, well looked after, and a great place to unwind. The hosts were welcoming and everything made for a wonderful camping experience. We'd happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique getaway with some furry friends to hang out with!

Firstly, what an amazing spot. We pulled our van on to a big flat spot beside the clear beautiful stream up to the old shed/bush kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised by the set up we were provided, with a pot bellied stove and barrel brazier to choose from, and wood provided by our amazing gracious hosts. There’s absolutely no faulting the hosts, both were so kind and helpful and made us feel completely at home; like we were staying with old friends. The animals were such a joy. We had many visits from the friendly alpacas and dogs, and of course we loved watching the highland coos wander around. We genuinely wished we could have stayed another night. Thank you so much and please pet Koda and Bono for us! 😊

Amazing Hip Camp, our favourite yet! Amazing zones down by the creek, a real playground for the kids.
Alpacas and cows were super cute and a stand out. We loved our stay and will defintiely be back!
Kannika and Ian were so helpful and accommodating but gave us our space.

Beautiful spot under the trees by a creek. Was very quiet. Perfect location, only a couple of mins into town. Firewood and camp stove provided were fantastic!
The alpacas were an absolute highlight!

New hip camp. Will be great. The area for camping is nice grass by the creek. Although a new gate that is too narrow has blocked access for caravans but the host did allow for us to park in another area that was great for the one night. Cows and alpacas nearby. Close to town. Quiet.

Hillview was a wonderful find for the Easter weekend. A lovely grassed area fronting onto the creek. Shaded level campsites and lovely decks and pot belly stoves overlooking the creek and fire pits and plenty of firewood for the cooler evenings. The friendly alpacas and Highland cows were a hit. Close to Tenterfield and nearby National Parks for extra outdoor adventures. Highly recommend Hillview
