Beautiful serenity.
I loved my stay here. A perfect spot alongside the creek.
I feel lucky to have found this place.
Only downside- Toilet and shower in desperate need of a clean.

Nice campsite.
- It’s split into two halves, so have a look around and see what the spaces are like and what suits you. Back side might need 4wd to get in/out in wet conditions.
- We bought firewood, it was good, and lots of fire rings about.
- The creek is nice, very clean - different accesses depending on your camp spot.
- The train goes past but was not very loud in my opinion.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hidden Valley Camping and would stay there again. Note there are no tea Gardens or ice available and the firewood is not great.
Best bits:
* wildlife - fireflies!, bandicoots, lots of birds and domestic Guinea fowl and chooks
* the creek with swimming holes
* friendly people
* really quiet
Could improve:
* bathrooms - no soap, toilet paper hit and miss, needs a clean!
* a bit weedy, but I notice this a lot.

Once again Barry and his property did not disappoint. Green soft grass clean toilets awesome hot showers and clear running water through the Creek absolute blast this place one of my top five places to visit and just relax.

What a stunning part of the world!!! We had a wonderful three nights, made even better by the fact that we had the place our ourselves for most of the time. Beautiful scenery, stunning creek swims for us and the dog. We will definitely be back for the peace, quiet and gorgeous scenery!

Pro's. Ah nice place! The fireflies on sundown were beautiful. We had a 7metre RV. The area was flat enough, only required a tiny bit of levelling. The chooks and Guinea fowl were entertaining and greeted us on arrival and came back to visit regularly. The resident doggo called Pippy came to visit regularly as well and the King pin rooster was gorgeous but don't try to touch him. He still has his dangerous spurs. They especially like your toes ( LOL) when you're eating brekky.
We were one of 2 RVs so being secluded was nice however ..
Cons...
We paid for firewood and ice as its advertised and hoped for a hot shower but there was no power to the amenities which were dirty and unlit. We had to pack a bag of firewood for ourselves off a huge pile of what was more like domestic offcuts. There was no more contact or follow up from the owners.
There was no ice so lost 5 bucks there. There was mention of a refund for it but never saw her again.
The lady did say that the man / caretaker had just had an operation so maybe that's why??
Sorry for him but we paid for things we did not receive 4/10
Left the next day, as soon as we could.
Don't go there if you're expecting bliss cause it's not when the creek bed is unkempt and has discarded rubbish (ie someone's solar panels etc )
But them chooks are a classic !!

It's beautiful, its quiet. The chooks, Guinea fowl and dog keep you entertained. The creek is fresh and the rock wall is amazing. Fire flies on sundown and its mostly level but messy banks of the creek including rubbish. However, they advertise hot showers / amenity block, electricity etc but there was no electricity and the toilet block was unlit, dirty, dark and creepy. Had to pack our own firewood bag and we paid for ice but there was none. We were 1 of 2 vans so, isolated and that was nice. Didn't stay longer than one night. Got 5 minutes down the road and stumbled upon a better place. Won't tell you where but keep looking.
We give it Hidden Valley 2 stars

If you love trains then watching them come out of the mountain loop is fascinating.. pushing 3 stars as a result.

The drive here is insanely beautiful and the creek was crystal clear, everything was relaxing and beautiful! Sleeping to the sounds of the creek is really special.

The camping experience is wonderful you can enjoy the natural sounds of the river and the land is beautiful. The facilities or awesome clean showers and toilets. This camp site is definitely one to go to perfect or beginner campers and experienced.

Hi there, the creek is lovely as is the surrounding bush and birdlike.
However the toilets and the shower block have seen better days and there is no tea house as advertised. It is also good to note that the freight train noise the first night was quite a suprise.

Hidden Valley campground was absolutely stunning, we loved our stay. The owners were super lovely and helpful. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax in the peace and quiet while listening to the river. Pet friendly, which was amazing, our furry friends love their holiday. Huge fire pits were provided and the option to buy extra firewood was handy. Amenities were great as well.
We'll be definitely coming back soon.

Such a beautiful spot, was lucky to have clear skies every day over Easter.
Ladies in the office were very friendly.
Allowed us to make a campfire from the rocks by the creek as there weren’t enough fire pits.
Would definitely come here again.

This is a beautiful place to camp. There are plenty of shaded sites available and while we were there at Easter it wasn't overcrowded. There was a beautiful running stream and areas to paddle. Waingree general store was stocked well with everything you could imagine and only 20 mins away. Chooks roam freely and the rooster gets up at 4. and 5. and 6am. Dog friendly and off leash is tolerated for well behaved dogs.
Caution ⚠️ there is no cafe and there was no ice available! There is only one female designated toilet and shower. The other 5 toilets and shower are designated men's. Most campers ignore this and use the facilities as unisex, which seemed to work fine. Ignore your GPS, look at an actual map. The Share Directons took us on an tour of a dirt road and added about 30 mins to our trip.

The site wasn't accessible due to the overflowing creek in the entry and no notice was given, nor any communication when reached out to at the time nor later when requesting a refund. In addition the roads leading to this campsite are barely 2wd accessible as some are more pothole than road.

My husband, our dog and I, were booked in for three nights. We pre-ordered a bag of ice. When we arrived we were told their ice machine was broken….. so no ice. The check in process was very disorganised but because of the extreme weather they’d had, we were understanding. The water had just been reconnected and our hosts had just cleaned the ladies toilet and shower. Everything was great. A beautiful location. Very peaceful. There was another family group there of about 12 people. We are quite self sufficient campers but for $48 per night, unpowered, there is an expectation of some basic things. The whole time we were there the toilet and showers were not cleaned or even wiped down. Just something small like that would have made a real difference, with the number of people using them, in our opinion of this place for the money charged. The location was lovely but the whole place just seemed very tired and run down. The site on Hipcamp has not been updated for sometime we feel! Such a shame.

Excellent spot to spend a weekend relaxing. Beautiful surroundings with spectacular creek to sit in as water runs over the rocks. Well maintained, clean ammenities and grounds. 3rd time here and definitely will stay again.

Serene and quiet stay in the hidden valley. Nice creek to dip and cool down on a hot summer day. Facilities were clean, caretakers were kind. Will definitely return in the future

Beautiful property. Lots of flat green space with stunning gardens. Didn’t see the owner, signed in via a visitors book at the office. Gorgeous rushing creek with rapids that the kids went down over and over again. Two main camping areas so lots of space to camp alone. Can take dogs.

Camping here was an amazing getaway. I would highly recommend. Beautiful scenery heaps of flat well maintained areas to camp. Amenities were ok but 100% did their job. Early check in was a nice treat and hosts were very friendly. The river was the best part. Perfect refreshing swimming and gentle rapids to float down. Plenty of free space and we were there on a us day long weekend.

Beautiful property with a flowing creek with such clear water! Lots of swimming holes to enjoy. Choose your own spot but it didn’t feel too crowded at all. Pets allowed and our dogs loved it. The cafe is currently not running but they mentioned it might open again in 6 months of so. We loved our stay!

This is a great place for kids with the creek being its main attraction.
Nice shady spots to camp.
Otherwise it is pretty basic. It's still advertised as having a tea house but this is not correct.
