Fresh Water Farm offers a private campsite on the Towamba River in Kiah. You can enjoy swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, fishing, walking, and bird watching all on the 350 acres. Fresh Water Farms location provides a great base to explore Eden and the Far South Coast. Eden is 15 minutes away with its new Mountain Bike trails, Gravity Eden. We also have the Green Cape end of the Beowa National Park nearby. Our camp sites are best for those with an off-grid, 4wd Set up. We have a shared central river access point with the camping sites dispersed in the near by open paddock.

Fresh Water Farm has 350 acres of private bush, paddock & wetlands. We offer 6 campsites only to ensure the tranquillity remains. The location is a nature lover's paradise with private access to the Towamba River - enjoy all that the property has to offer including, fishing, kayaking, swimming and bird watching. Nearby is the town of Eden with its new Gravity Mountain bike trails and surrounding National Parks. The property has a shared central river access point with picnic tables & a shelter nearby. Fire pits are available, provided there are no fire restrictions. You will need to be fully self-contained and self-sufficient, including drinking water, power and toilet facilities. Access to Freshwater Farm is via a dirt road, and once within the property, you will proceed toward the campsite by descending a grassy hill ( 4WD is necessary for this hill, especially if raining). Our campsites are best for those with off-grid and off-road set-ups. Pets are allowed, but they are not included in the site fees due to Hipcamp's booking limitations. When booking, you must book in and pay for your pet as a Hip-camp extra if you would like to bring them along. $15/night. The sites: The sites are large grassy spaces near the Towamba River. Large Group Site - 20 people

Have a special group event, Easter, Christmas, Birthdays, New Year, they are all special times of the year so why not make beautiful memories at your own Private River Camp on the Far South Coast . How this booking works! You will have the River Front Site exclusively for your chosen dates for up to 20 people. (minimum of 3 nights school holidays and 2 nights all other times of the year) - So there will be no other campers apart from your group. The only exception is the owners who are on site, although far away from the camp site. Owners may swim in the river from time to time during your stay. A maximum of 20 people will be allowed in your group. In any number of self contained set ups. You will need to be fully self-contained Off-Grid - Off-Road caravaners/campers. You will need your own toilet and power. As at some time of the year this is a minimum 3-night booking consider that you may need to take your casette waste tank offsite to a local town during your stay. Generators are allowed as long no one in your own group complains. This is a family property so there will be quiet down GUIDELINEs- ABOUT 11PM. Excessive alcohol and drugs or super late nights won't be cool. Each vehicle and van will need to register them selves, their details, and the number of guests. The nightly price is for the whole group at a maximum of around 20 people. We are happy to learn more about your group's requirements, so please send a message if you have any questions.

Wildlife Paradise and River Gem

We stayed for 5 glorious nights in November as the end cap of our East Coast Victoria journey, and we couldn't have picked a more beautiful place than this spot in Kiah, near Eden. ​If you love privacy and wildlife, this is your heaven. The large, beautiful open grass area was perfect for camping, and with only one other camper visible the whole time, it felt like we had the entire riverbank to ourselves—truly a no shoes needed kind of freedom! ​The wildlife here is spectacular. We saw deer, majestic eagles, and, of course, the charming wombats doing their nightly rounds, alongside the resident farm cows and chickens. Our dog absolutely adored the safety and freedom this special river spot offered, making it a perfect pet-friendly escape. ​The fishing is genuinely amazing, but we won't give away all the secrets—you'll have to book and find out for yourself! This is a rare, peaceful find for anyone looking to completely disconnect and immerse themselves in nature. Highly, highly recommend!

What a fantastic place! The view over the river was beautiful and the bellbirds, cockatoos and other birds were plentiful. The welcoming committee of angus steers was fun. We were the only people there (the mists coming up from the river at sunset may have been a giveaway) but it would be a great family holiday location. The ad says 4WD and I would concur. The road in is not necessarily too rough for 2WDs, but it is steep and damp in places and the extra grip was reassuring.

I loved camping here! so beautiful. Had cows roaming around the campsite in the morning, very unique experience. Kids had a great time in the river on kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Grateful for the shared space, under cover (also a shared firepit) since we had a couple days of rain. Definitely need 4 wheel drive to access property, and even more so with the rain we had, trying to trek through a bit of mud with the caravan in tow to get out, but adds to the fun! only about 12 min from Eden, so that was nice. And a great beach only a couple min up the road. we'll be back! Thank you!

One of the most lovely Hipcamp places we stayed. After the heat, dust and brown of WA and SA, the lush green space was wonderful. We pitched up in a great spot near the river. Very peaceful. Loved it. Eden was a nice little town. Lovely to meet Kylie and to hear the story of the land and how it came to her. And her family. Highly recommmend.

Fresh water farm was the BEST!! We had such an amazing few nights there. Lush maintained grass, canoe and pontoon in the river, a golf hole for a few hours entertainment, rope swing, great dry wood available to purchase and the best hosts! We’ll definitely be back!

Fresh Water River Camp is a beautiful and relaxing spot right on the river. The setting is peaceful, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy nature. Thanks Kylie and Sandy for the opportunity to share your little slice of paradise for a few nights. We had a fabulous stay and enjoyed the lush, green grass, paddling on the river and just hanging out with the cows! We'll definitely be back again.

We booked for one night, but once we arrived, we quickly booked for second night! A lovely spot right on the river, with chickens and cows and even deers! We took the canoe out for a paddle, and had a sunset swim in the river. The path in is definitely 4WD, but the sight when you get there is worth the trek in.

A fantastic camping spot with a lovely creek running through!! The hosts were just beautiful and made the stay an absolute delight 😊 Can highly recommend this spot and further recommend capitalising on the add ons on offer (firewood/garlic/eggs) all was class!!!

We had an absolute wonderful time at Kylie’s property. Amazing wild life. Amazing river with canoeing! Amazing drive to get there! 4x4 for the clearance is a must though. If you actually want a relaxing experience and really connect with nature, this is the place. We were sad to leave and can’t wait to come back. Hosts were amazing. Came in to say hello and a quick chat, very helpful and responsive. Did I say the word amazing too many times? 🤩 We had a couple of other campers which you can see in the distance but definitely had lots of room to breathe. I don’t normally book a place with little reviews and was a little hesitant, but boy this place didn’t disappoint. Will be back soon. Ciao.

Great spot with wonderful water view. Hosts were really helpful. Weather was pretty terrible but still had an amazing time kayaking up and down the river and relaxing.

This place is an absolute gem. Rocky road to get there but it’s all worth it once you hit the valley. Perfectly manicured by the river, plenty of boating equipment for use and excellent barrel fire pits. Hosts were incredibly polite and welcoming, I’ll definitely be back here in the future!

We loved Fresh Water Farm. The amazing river, fresh eggs and friendly cows. The sites are ALL mowed grass which is beautiful to walk on (no shoes). Everyone had multiple swims/kayak/inflatable sessions a day. Sandy and Kylie are some of the friendliest hosts around. Thanks to all.

We had an amazing time here so much so we stayed an extra night and didn’t want to leave. Kylie and sandy were such beautiful people, friendly and welcoming. Letting the kids feed the cows and chickens with them. The little touches they incorporated to the property like kayaks, rope swing and other things to make it memorable where great but the best thing about it was the property it self. Amazing g views, extremely well landscaped and the grass was perfection to camp on and the water was beautiful to swim in. 10/10 from us.

Great off grid camping with river frontage and lots of animals and things to discover with a fantastic host ! Our family loved swimming in the river, feeding the chickens, watching deer 🦌 run in the morning, kayaking, fishing and a really fund rope swing ! Make sure you follow the directions and instructions Kylie will send you after booking!

Kylie and Sandy were exceptional hosts with an outstanding property. I felt very welcome and at home. They went above and beyond to make sure that both myself and my dog had a wonderful stay. Their property is very comfortable and quiet with so much to do, very close by. I can't recommend enough

Fresh water farm! Was the best place I have stayed! It’s was truely incredible From the track on the way to the property which made it even more fun! And the animals and the shear space that you have! Sandy was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were all catered for! Would highly recommend if you’re passing through or even if your not! Just make a trip of it and make sure you hit these guys up! You will not be disappointed! Thank you for letting us stay! One of the best. Greatly appreciated!
