Best tent-sites: Finalist
Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024.
We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle.  2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach, 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach. Pets are welcome, but please pick up after them. Free firewood - Every site has a fire pit supplied. Hot showers and clean, decent toilets. Good mobile signal for Telstra and Optus networks. Communal Fridges and a communal spa. There is lots of space for campers so you will have privacy whilst you enjoy your camping adventure.  We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. Good fishing. Pretty much everywhere you can wet a line. Prawns are best bait. If your dog is on the government list of restricted breeds or on the dangerous dog list please leave at home We have a gentle, well trained old German Shepherd who adores kids but after being bitten by another dog, now prefers to stay inside the house and not visit the camp sites. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. The reason being if you are a large group turning up late, you will ruin the camping experience of other campers who got there earlier to watch the sunset and just chill. Furthermore, the sunsets are one of the reasons people come here. Every single day it is totally different. If you arrive late you have missed it.... 5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a slope. We do have several flat areas for tents , hybrids, camper vans and small caravans. And we have 6 levelling blocks scattered across the sites. However, where we struggle is when people turn up in 10m caravans with little to no ground clearance and then complain why the site is not dead flat. Dead flat is a concrete slab at any caravan park anywhere but here.Rubbish and recycling facilities are available. Please seperate cans and bottles from everything else. Closest National Park is about 10 mins from here. (2 min drive, 10 min walk) For those who are into stargazing we have a particularly good location with no light contamination from cities, industry or neighbours.  Combined with being on top of a hill that has 360 degree view of the night sky.   Bring your telescope and you will be blown away. If there are any local events on, check fridge noticeboard

Great camp spot
Top camping experience. Lovely and friendly hosts, provided detailed arrival instructions and local attractions info, whilst respecting the freedom of guests. Site was dog friendly which was our key criteria, 2 small sized dogs roamed free and had such fun. Flat site for swags and sunshelter set up. Appreciated the provided fire wood and firestarters for a camp fire. Flushing toilets, warm shower, fridge and freezer access was great, amenities block well lit of a night. Cold water spa to cool off was lovely. Much appreciated super doopers while we set up camp just made it feel like a great experience all round. Pretty sunset on site. Happy to return for another trip :)

Don't miss out!
We loved Mei's place! The campsite was confortable with a great view, and sunset. The amenities were exceptionnal, clean, comfy and including a very handy fridge. We were spoiled with super duppers and free fire wood. Also our tent had a broken part and Jon was able to give us a spare one from a previous camper. Finally stargazing was amazing... don't miss out!

Worth Your Money!
One of the nicest campsites I’ve ever stayed at! Jon and Mei are incredible hosts that kept our firewood stocked the entire stay, kept the bathrooms meticulously clean and cleaned out the spa for my group! The amenities were amazing, we were all making jokes about how we’ve never felt so clean while camping. They had 4 private bathrooms and all but one had a shower. The site itself is beautiful with gorgeous views of the bush lands and all campsites were spaced out really well so everyone gets their privacy. Had a playground, spa bath and offered out zooper doopers and was in a great spot too. Near beaches and shops in tea gardens as well as Nelson’s Bay all within an hour so we had plenty to do!!

Amazing place!!
Wow!! Just mind blown, this is what camping should be!! From the moment we arrived Mei was absolutely so hospitable, the property is absolutely amazing, beautiful views of the bushland and mountains!! They supplied us with fire pit and fire wood for the night. Bathrooms so very clean. Very easy access from main road. This kind of place makes me want to do more Hipcamps. Thank you Mei and John 😊
