Expect a few shallow, low-speed creek crossings—just enough adventure to feel like you're truly off the grid. Please be aware that river crossings are dangerous. Flood waters can rise quickly. Please review current weather in advance and use common sense when entering river crossings and don't take risks. 🔥 Amenities: Fire pits welcome, and yes—there’s wood for purchase. We had a nice time staying here, but a few things to keep in mind. Getting in the gate with a van was very tricky, and the sites are quite narrow and unlevel — We booked site 3 but not suitable with a van. Site was not level and very shady therefore no sun for our solar. Sites 1, 2, 4 and 5 are the most level and get full sun, which is great if you’re running solar. The sites aren’t very private and are right by the road. As the national park and local caravan park are nearby, the road can get busy and a bit noisy. It's also not the best if you’re bringing dogs, since the road is very close. That said, the outlook by the river is beautiful and the area is really peaceful. Overall, a decent spot if you’re okay with a bit of activity nearby and don’t mind being close to neighbors.

Located in a beautiful area, the campsite is very well kept and the stream flowing past is absolutely lovely. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

Such a beautiful spot right on the river, extremely well maintained and freshly mowed. This place was so nice just to sit back and relax by the fire with a few beverages. We will be back again.

Site 4 Such a well maintained campground right next to the river, the sites are spread out well apart from each other. Nice shady trees along the rivers edge and the water was deep enough to get in and cool off. Hosts are awesome and they even had our load of pre ordered firewood delivered to our site before we got there. Will stay again

This was a great spot for a chill. I was after somewhere away from noise and people and this was just the ticket. Spots are roughly 100m apart. There was no-one in the next one so I could only see the roof of a van 200m away. Nice. It is close-ish to the road so you do get a few cars coming past, but wasn't a big deal. Water was lovely for a refreshing dip. One of my favourite Hipcamps so far.

We loved our 2 night stay at Elsewhere. With the whole camp to ourselves on the first night and plenty of space away from our 2nd night neighbours we enjoyed the peace and quiet, swimming in the river and playing with our dog. Unfortunately, no fish were caught but that’s nothing new.

It was a great place to camp with our kids. The campsites are all quite seperate from each other so you feel like no one else is around. The owners were very friendly. The river was beautiful to swim in.

Nice spot. The areas were all well maintained. We were right alongside the river with plenty of trees for cover most of the day. Iolanda and her husband both came to say hello and had a nice chat with us. Look forward to seeing what sites they open up in the future.

An absolute dream of a place. Limited camps so you're not within earshot of the next campers. We had a few nights with the place to ourselves and it was soo quiet, but didnt change when others arrived. Right on the banks of the Gloucester River, the water was pristine. The hosts were delightful, helpful and have a great deal on firewood if you need it. We'll definitely be back. Thanks 👌

Absolutely Loved it!!! My dog even more. Very cool. Great crystal clear swimming holes, private and heaps of space with fire pit. Heaps of birds and even King parrots. And no leeches so close to water was amazing. Hosts were very friendly and even came and delivered wood for fire. 100% will be going back.

We had an amazing weekend. Yolanda and Garth were great hosts, and koko the gorgeous chocolate lab was a bonus friend for our fur babies, very well maintained camping spots right near the river. Was so good to be cut off from the world with no mobile reception, no radio or TV.. just our downloaded music on Spotify beside the river and a fire at night.

We had a great time camping here, it was peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. We stayed at Riverside 1. The river was stunning! We appreciated the owner popping by in the afternoons to check in on us to see if we were ok or needed anything. Kids had a great time. We will be back!

This place is far from escape to nature, it’s legit 10m off the side of a gravel road that seems to be the main road in and out for the national park, unfortunately we had to leave after 1 night as the dust from the cars was way to much for our kids, everyone speeding down the gravel road making it worse and feels a little dangerous being so close to the road, description on this site doesn’t really state how the camping sites are and if I was to know I would of saved the money and went elsewhere, did message the host to say we leaving due to the situation but didn’t receive a reply other than that the water seemed nice

It was peaceful and a great drive there. The stream was unreal, so cold but once you were in it was great. The firepits are an awesome size, so easy to relax here.

A great spot with one of the best rivers we have camped beside, I recommend getting the firewood as it’s a full tractor bucket load to keep the fire stocked.

Camping with Riverside Serenity

A very nice location by the river with slashed/mowed ‘paddock grass’. River access points if the weather is warm enough (water was too chilly for our liking to go for a full immersion swim (beginning of September). Sites are within about 100m of each other and easily visible but it was still fairly quiet. Rock surround fire pits with wood able to be purchased from property owners - great for those, like us, who enjoy fire gazing. You can go for a walk along the river bank looking at the cliffs opposite, the rocks along the river or the twisted trees/roots. The owners were very nice people and great to chat with and were happy to deliver firewood to the campsite. Location is not very far from Gloucester Tops National Park including Gloucester Falls. Also not very far from Barrington Tops. Great place to camp for our personal 4 day long weekend and we enjoyed the quiet, relaxing solitude 😁😎 ⛺️ 🔥

Absolutely stunning spot 👌🏼 little bit tight getting through the gate with the 21ft van but ample room on the sites. Top swimming spots and really friendly owners. Firewood available for purchase by the tractor scoop. Would be paradise in summer. Will definitely be back 😁

Amazing spot, set up right on the river which was flowing! Freezing but very refreshing. Fire pit was perfect too. Hosts were friendly, met us and showed us our site. Delivered some firewood. Perfect spot to unwind and chill with good company, a cold beer, a roaring fire and the sounds of a flowing river. 👌🏾

Good camping spot. Very well maintained with good river access and some great swing holes. Some areas with good shade for summer but also plenty of sun for the solar. Our dog enjoyed sleeping in the cool grass and the walks available. look forward to visiting again.

Amazing camp sites and great hosts! We stayed at riverside camp 5 and it was perfect. We had our three dogs and there was plenty of land for running around. The beautiful river is only a short walk down to the river bank and there are numerous beautiful swimming holes along the campsite and surrounding areas. The hosts are very friendly and accomodating. The location is easy to find. We will be back!!
