Camping on river flats by the Maquarie River, accessed from the Bridle Track, north from Bathurst. This site is miles away from public campgrounds. There are dozens of birds and other wildlife (pets are welcome, but must be under control). Bring everything you need, then take it away when you go. 4WD access recommended. Enjoy your camp! Sites are flat, grassy, and big enough for backyard cricket! Guests must be fully self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Peace, Privacy, and a Legend Host

River Camp
We just spent a phenomenal time at this campsite and can't recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, our host, Bruce, made us feel welcome. He's incredibly accommodating and friendly, stopping by to check in, chat, and—most importantly—dropping off a huge supply of firewood and a firepit. He made it clear that he was available if we needed anything at all, which we really appreciated. The site is truly a perfect family retreat. We loved the natural beauty, especially the pristine, flowing river. The grounds were impeccably kept: the grass was lush, green, and perfectly trimmed. The ultimate luxury was the total peace and privacy of having the entire area to ourselves. We are already planning our return for a much longer visit!
