A property with amazing river access and a history of great fishing and gold panning. The steep terrain adjacent the river lends itself to some fantastic hiking and mountain bike riding to the peaks that display amazing views to the north and east.
With a small number of sites on the property you're sure to feel like the only ones in the world.
Currently access is 4WD recommended due to the steep terrain. Some AWD and rear wheel drive vehicles are fine. FWD vehicles are not permitted. Contact hosts to discuss access

Loved every minute I was there, the deck is great to sit back and enjoy the view of the hills and river. Lots of places to explore, and lots of open space for the kids to play. Will be back again soon!
This is an absolute beautiful spot! Has everything you need for a lovely glamping experience for the whole family to enjoy. I wouldn’t recommend going after major weather events as flooding can cause issues and to definitely keep in contact with owners regarding conditions upon arrival. Follow directions given by owners is a must and arrive with plenty of daylight.
Nice quiet location for tent camping. Fresh water river flowing right next to campsite very relaxing to listen to at night. Flat ground and good fire pits with plenty of self gather firewood available onsite. Friendly hosts.
We absolutely loved our time camping at Eagle Bush Retreat. So peaceful and beautiful. A great place to be in nature and turn off for a couple of days to recharge.
Host was so lovely and welcoming! Can’t wait to be back another time.
We had the best little adventure glamping for 2 nights. Kristy was such a wonderful host, running us through everything. Our highlight was the hot tub, OMG just divine!!!! We explored the grounds and were in awesome of the landscape around us. Peace and serenity to the max!!!
Just listening to the river all day and then cozy and warm in bed having that tranquil sound put you to sleep.
We will be returning soon. You guys have out done yourselves!!!! Thank you 😊
This is a perfect 10/10 campsite, situated on a beautiful river with tubes available on site to float down, the cliff face is epic and you can spot rock wallabies and the fishing is good, we caught a decent cod(catched and released). Super private, gorgeous bit of land to make camp. It might be the best campsite I've seen yet, will definitely be coming back!
Lovely spot. Had a great weekend despite the relentless rain. Awesome communication with owners. Lovely couple. The hot tub was the highlight. Definitely need a 4wd - particularly if wet. We’ll be back.
An incredible campsite right by the river. We were lucky enough to be the only campers there on the night we booked, and had the whole place to ourselves. An amazing spot providing tranquility. The hosts are amazing as well, and catered for any questions/ help we needed. Would absolutely stay again.
Beautiful camp spot, nice and private, access to the river and great amenities! This is my second time to this place and definitely won’t be the last 🙂
We returned to Eagle Ridge Bush Retreat for another stay, this time in the Glamp Tent—and it was perfect. Everything was thoughtfully provided: cooking facilities, clean toilets and showers, firewood, bedding, and towels. The location is stunning, right on the river, and we even enjoyed the hot tub under the stars at night.
Well done Dan & Kristy—you keep making this place even more special
This place is amazing and we will definitely be back. My parter and I booked two nights with our dog. We were in the Cove which was completely private, trees on 3 sides and the river on the other. The wood fire tub was the cherry on top. 4WD recommended to get in out, however we saw other people there with SUVs do fine. Definitely worth the trip from Brisbane, can’t wait to come back!
We had an amazing time at Eagle Ridge! Catching fish, tubing down the rapids and just generally relaxing in a beautiful location. Thanks guys for having us!!
Wow! what a stunning campsite and scenery. Been doing this for awhile now and one of the very best we have ever stayed at. so peaceful, all separated. lots of space between campers. being right there on the river is something else!
Daniel and Kristy were amazing hosts! From the moment we arrived, their hospitality was very welcoming. We felt comfortable in our tiny home and it was nice to have a hot shower and flushing toilet. The cooking facilities were awesome and the hot tub by the river was really cool.
Although the weather was wet and the place was damp most of the time, we did get some sunshine and we enjoyed our short stay. Having river so close made the experience really lovely, and we were lucky enough not to have any fellow campers near by which meant we could have our dog off lead.
I would recommend this place if you have experience with off road driving, as it was a hit rough getting down to the camping spot, especially in the wet weather.

Eagle ridge is beautiful and secluded. We love having our own quiet campsite by the river. There’s great camping options, all individual and gorgeous. We have been there 3 times and will keep coming back!
We had a fantastic time at Eagle Ridge Glamping Tent. It was such a lovely quiet place to relax. The kitchen includes a camp fridge which was a nice surprise. The hosts Kristy and Dan were very accommodating, supplying extra drinking water, fire wood and setting up the fireplace when our trip down from Brisbane was a lot longer than Google Maps promised (We followed the GPS via Mount Lindsay Highway/Clarence Way).
But once the sun came up the next day - my goodness it is beautiful piece of Australia. The river, the bush, the sun coming over the ridge - you won't want to leave - all you'll want to do is listen to the river and soak in the hot tub :-) We'll certainly be back.
First time using Hipcamp, found this great property. 2 nights camping on the banks of this beautiful river. Quiet and peaceful with unbelievable stars at night. Thanks Daniel and Kristy for sharing such a beautiful property.
We loved Eagle Ridge bush retreat, we have been 2 years in a row. Our big boy (dog) loves running around and swimming. The spots are private and peaceful!
We had the absolute best time at Kristy & Dan’s amazing place! Spent 4 nights at their new riverside spot The Cove with my partner and our dog Murphy, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. It’s super private, peaceful, and right by the water, ideal for relaxing or casting a line. We caught some huge cod and catfish!
The rapids nearby were a blast, great for jumping in and floating downstream. We’ve got a 4WD setup and had no trouble getting in and out of the campsite, but definitely recommend others pay attention to access requirements.
You can tell Kristy & Dan have put real love into this place. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!
Kristy and Dan are lovely hosts. Really down to earth, very friendly and welcoming.
Clear directions to get from Granit Lane and then they meet you at the bottom to take you directly to your site. The track down definitely needs a 4wd.
There are multiple camping options to choose from - clamping through to tent sites. We had a very private spot and we added the fire tub experience. One of many highlights of the weekend.
You can fish and don't even need to be experienced. I caught 2 fish and it was my first time!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Easter weekend and so did our dog Murphy. Thanks for having us. We look forward to returning.
Awesome place to get away from it all, camp spots were separated so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Super relaxing place to spend some family time and also have the dogs along for the ride.
Would highly recommend to anyone wanting some quiet time away, you won't want to leave.
What a destination, the river running through the property is unreal. Kids playing and fishing, the amazing night sky and bush backround.
Our hosts were great and took us for a drive to pick our spot to camp. Really enjoyed our weekend cant wait to come back.
This was my second time at Eagleridge and loved it just as much as the first. Kristy and Daniel are great hosts. It was a bit rainy over the weekend, but it was still beautiful and the fish were still biting. The sites are very private and secluded. The dogs have the time of their life. Will definitely be back for a third time.
This was an amazing spot with the best hosts! They were always great at communicating and were always there to help us! Keep up the good work guys we look forward to coming back!
Love this place! Love the adventure of getting to the campsite, make sure you’ve got a 4wd. The campsites are so private, you think you’re the only one there until you walk around & see private little oasis’s everywhere! Can’t wait to return to ride the rapids. Kristy is fabulous, very accommodating & helpful & bubbly! Thanks for helping my friend, we will both be back 😃
