Sites are not marked so it’s not possible to know which site you are booking.
Bar staff at RSL are no help because they do not know which sites are booked or not booked. Mark sites with numbers or letters and that will improve the ability to actually see a site on the map and verify that is the site you are booking. Optus service is not great so it was difficult to get the app to work.

We enjoyed our short stay in Dungog and camping at the Showground. With power, relative peace and quiet, a short walk into town and mountain views at the Showground, we couldn’t complain about too much. Although the toilet block is old and dated, the shower is hot, the toilets flush, there is a decent sized mirror and plenty of toilet paper to go around.

All good, only problem was the taps were too far away from my caravan hoses to reach. Next time, will choose a sight closer to the water tap.

There was work going on and the site I had reserved was closed. The workmen were there all day. The people who I called about the issue were unaware the work was even in progress.

Enjoyed our 1 night at the Dungog Showgrounds. Nice view from site 1. Good grass cover was appreciated. Site required wheel ramps for levelling which is fine, if you don’t travel with them then you’re not prepared for many great sites. Amenities are basic but clean. Would stay again.
