Dungog Horseshoe Camp
Peaceful riverside
We loved our trip to Horshoe camp at Dungog. It was so tranquil, clean and easy. Michael is a lovely host, he was very kind, thoughtful and helpful. Take your river shoes if you plan to swim, there’s rocks aplenty, and some are quite slippery. We will be back soon!

Peaceful, and has a river !!
Great place to stay. Recommend it. Michael was great and always willing to help.
Will back there again.
While you’re in Dungog, make sure you go to Meg’s Kitchen. Homemade food that was the best …. and I’m not even a foodie.

Stunning location on the river.
We loved our stay at Michael's property. Only a short drive from Dungog and located on the beautiful Williams River this was the perfect location for our summer holiday. Michael was a great host, showing us around the property before we settled on a shady grassy location on the river bank.

Dungog Horseshoe Camp
Absolutely loved our stay at Horseshoe Bend. Mike was a fantastic host and his property is incredible. We loved being able to set up right on the river and spent our days relaxing, cooking and swimming in the crystal clear water.
Ours was a summer stay and our site had shady options all throughout the heat of the day and the deep part of the creek was in shade throughout the later parts of the afternoon and was perfect for cooling off.
The river has shallow spots along the front of the camp sites, perfect to be able to watch the little ones swim and play safely, with deeper sections easily accessible.
The river is rocky so I suggest taking a pair of swimming shoes, crocs or joggers that your happy to get wet to make exploring and navigating the banks comfortable.
Our stay was so peaceful and we enjoyed the seclusion that this property offered.
If your a bird watcher you will be delighted and the abundance of butterflies and dragonflies were a sight to behold.
Hands down the best hip camp we have stayed at. You feel like your a world away from civilization, but just a short drive will give you access to anything you need. We will be back regularly. Also hot tip, while your in the area a visit to Megs Kitchen in town is a must! 🤤

Peaceful Riverside Camping
A really great campsite, with beautiful views.
Michael our host was lovely, with clear directions on arrival & was happy to show us around Horseshoe Camp. Easy access to the river & with only two campsites, we had plenty of privacy. We loved our peaceful stay & can't wait to go back again soon.

Dungog Horseshoe Camp
A great camping spot. We couldn't camp next to the river because it was too wet, but Michael suggested another spot which was perfect, with lots of space, no one around and just a few minutes walk from the river. Dungog is a few minutes away with a tourist information centre,
an IGA and five or six cafes to choose from. Barrington Tops NP is not far away, with plenty of things to do.
