Such a great spot! We had the place all to ourselves, and despite the rain, we had a lovely time! The kangaroos are everywhere and good fun to watch.
We were close enough to vineyards and the main Hunter Valley precinct, so very glad we stayed here and at such a great price!

Janette was a wonderful host who really looked after us to ensure our stay was comfortable. The property was quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed camping near the pretty dam, listening to the frogs and watching the stars. Was nice to watch the kangaroos and ducks moving around too. We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at the property. We took our motorhome and relaxed by the pond. Hosts were wonderful, great communication and greeting at the gate. Thanks again, we would go back.

We loved staying with Janette! The property is massive with lots of nice private places to camp. Jeanette guided us to a lovely spot next to a pond where we had a firepit and a table and bench set up too. Very peaceful and lovely! The facilities were clean and had everything you needed. Would definitely recommend staying.

Camping at the Vineyards doorstep was beautiful!! The property was clear with 2 bathrooms to share which were very clean. We were located next to a pond which was so nice! Janette was such a help, she helped to our site and was amazing and friendly. Definitely recommend staying at this stunning property !!

We were camping with 5 other families, and overall, we had a good experience. The only two issues I would mention are the toilets. They were quite some distance from our camp and were Porta Loo's that were very very full and quite smelly. The second thing, which may not annoy other people, is that we camped very close to a horse racing track and at 4 and 5am the horses were running on their treadmill, which was super loud, and woke us up every morning of our stay.

I spent a couple of nights at the Vineyards Doorstep. You get what's on the brochure ( and I'll come back to this ), I couldn't have had worse weather for camping about 50 mm. Luckily Janette has a lean too at the camping spot and I was able to pitch my tent under that, what a god sent. It made a miserable weekend bearable. Now when I said you get what's on the brochure that means the site and that's basic as advertised, what wasn't basic was the hospitality from Janette and Ted. Wow they went out of there way to help me over the weekend and make sure I was as comfortable as possible. Outstanding is the only word to describe their contribution to my experience. I thoroughly recommend staying here.

Very private camping. Fire pits on site as well as portaloos nearby. Janette was great, she met us at the front gate and guided us through to the back of her property, where we found ourselves with the whole area to ourselves.
I would absolutely stay here again.

Exceptionally well maintained property.plenty of open space to find your preferred camp spot be it in the shade or sun.
Well stocked and clean toilet facilities for non self contained campers.
Janette and Ted are most welcoming host making sure your stay is comfortable, firepits are located throughout the camp area & firewood is available onsite for purchase.
It was the perfect location to camp with friends so they could experience and test their van for off grid camping.

We loved the peace and tranquility of this place. The wide open, well kept and frequently slashed space, surrounded by bushland.
The hosts, Janette and Ted are welcoming and could not do enough to help make your stay on their land and the Hunter Valley any better.
It’s only a 10 minute drive to the first winery.
We would definitely stay again and hope to so so soon.

Huge open area which really suited our dogs, they were able to run and play and the neighbouring property with horses was well fenced off which kept both them and the dogs safe.
Plenty of options to orient your caravan for evening or morning sun depending on what you want, and either in shade or away from trees if you prefer that.
Close to all the Hunter Valley has to offer, near a town with an IGA and Bottle-o, you’re never far from necessities but it feels like you’re away from everything.
Lovely sunset and sunrise views, a beautiful pond to visit and a solid walk around the campground area to to stretch you and your pups’ legs.
Good flat site, easy access for 2wd.

Janette and Ted were so welcoming and friendly. The area was very spacious with lots of great spots and flat land to pitch a tent. Was in a great location and very easily accessible with my little 2WD. Toilets were easily accessible and clean. We had a great stay and will definitely be returning on our next trip to the Hunter!

Such a great stay ! So peaceful and serene, super clean and well stocked long drops, a well maintained grassy area, lots of trees and a little damn with stunning water lilies.
Hosts were so helpful, came and rescued us when we couldn’t get our tent peg out of the ground 😂
Super prompt communication, accomodating, and very very helpful.
10/10 would recommend staying here.

Big flat camping area with plenty of room. Toilets were clean and well stocked. Handy location to the wineries and Newcastle. Janette was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

My Mum and I had the best time camping on here! Jannette is the sweetest person who was always checking in and trying to help where she could after I was in and out of hospitals. The land is well kept, with every camper being well spaced out, but will the opportunity to connect at the camp fire! Very safe and stunning location. Thanks for everything!

We had an amazing experience camping on Janette’s property! The site was beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of space for us to set up comfortably. Janette was a wonderful host, welcoming us warmly and making sure we had everything we needed (plenty of firewood also). The surroundings were peaceful and picturesque (we camped by the small dam), offering the perfect escape into nature. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches around the campsite and the privacy the location provided. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and private camping getaway. We loved staying on Janette and Ted's land!
Extremely well cared for, level sites. We were the only ones there, so extremely peaceful!
Janette was very welcoming when we arrived, showing us a few areas to choose from and guiding us to the best way to utilise the shade and breeze. We purchased fire wood for a nightly fire. There were a couple of visits from the kangaroos in the next paddock.
(The toilets were very clean for portable toilets, and were kept that way daily.)
A very enjoyable stay, with a warm and welcoming host, we will defiantly return.

Tarahleigh.....I loved every minute of our 3-day stay there. Janette was very accommodating, and her property is lovely. We were there on the weekend of the Dashville Skyline festival and, although we could hear the music, it wasn't obnoxious. Can't wait to go back there for another stay :)
