We loved the location. It was beautiful waking up with sunrise over the vineyard! We arrived late, so didn’t understand that the location of the toilets was roughly a 400m walk away. There were toilets in the building next to the campsite but they were locked. If we had arrived earlier we would have asked about being able to use those. We couldn’t find the shower but we weren’t too fussed to wait around to find it in the morning because we left early. Natalie was really proactive in communicating so if it was a more friendly hour I would have just messaged her to ask and I’m sure she would have been really helpful. If you’re camping self contained or you could use the facilities at the building at the campsite it’s a great spot. Otherwise I would agree with some of the other reviews that $100 is a little steep for somewhere to camp for the night given the lack of facilities. We loved the location and would recommend if you don’t mind walking a bit of a distance to use the toilet or are self contained.

Exceptional host!!

Natalia was such a great host - moved us to a more private site as we were staying when a festival was on without knowing. She recognised we were travelling with a baby and contacted us beforehand. Both sites were beautiful even with the rain and the wine is top notch! Would def stay again.

Dream hipcamp/unforgettable hosts

Staying at Domaine De Binet was an absolute dream! Beautiful location, peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We meet the friendly Lovedale dog, Digger and Sunday morning woke to the sound of hot air balloons, so pretty! What really made the experience unforgettable were the hosts — they were incredibly kind and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The campsite itself was well-maintained and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a unique and serene escape among the vines!

Overpriced Paddock

Unfortunately we were charged $108 per night to stay in a paddock, that had a half build toilet block with no power/lighting, no sink, not even hooks to hang your towels, just a dirty old chair to put your belongings on. The hot water ran out and the host did nothing about it, they also didn’t come to clean/check the facilities daily as expected for the price they were charging. The power and water are only located in a place which is not really suitable for caravans, the ground near the P/W is either undulated, on a slope, too small for vans/awnings, and no room to pull through. Also two of the spots are in a dip, which collects water/is in a natural flow path so as soon as you get a decent shower you’ll be in a soggy patch (see photos). The views promised are actually out in the middle of the paddock, away from the P/W, otherwise you’re just looking at a septic tank and the adjacent marshland that is dank, full of mosquitoes and is in shade from 3pm (not ideal for solar). Also don’t be fooled, this location is a good 10min drive from their winery, there is no tastings on site currently, however the location is super close to all the other big wineries. And the view is lovely if you don’t mind camping in the paddock without P/W connection. It is definitely not worth what they are charging, we actually left feelings completely ripped off! Note: other smaller/family owned wineries let you stay on site for FREE if you call ahead and organise a tasting/lunch booking with them.

Beat accommodation in the Hunter

Paddock Site 6

This was the perfect spot to camp whilst visiting the Hunter Valley. The land is beautiful and the family that own it make you feel very welcome. Plenty of room for our big van. The sites are really well spaced apart. Even better is the winery itself which has a fantastic deck area where you can do a tasting and sit and enjoy a cheese platter and bottle of wine. I will definitely be visiting again

We had the most beautiful stay. The property itself it absolutely stunning. The facilities were very clean and beautifully decorated. We done a wine tatssting with Paul, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. The wine was lovely and the atmosphere and views from the winery were 10/10. Both Dan and Natalie were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I can not fault anything about this place and I hope I get the chance to come back and stay again.

Camping among the vineyards

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. What a beautifully presented spot to spend a relaxing weekend. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the bathroom facilities were immaculately presented. The powered site with water was quiet when we stayed so we were treated to a very relaxing weekend. The morning hot air balloons are so close and the visiting kangaroos and kelpie were very friendly. Everything was fantastic @ Domain De Binet Winary and Natalie is such a great host. Good talks with her and the wine tasting is a must do! The access is easy and electric hookup a big plus. Highly recommended for all campers with a passion for wine and nature....

The campsites are really private and they all have beautiful scenery. The campsites near the chapel are close to the toilets & shower, which are the most beautiful & stylish looking amenities you’re probably ever going to have at a campsite :) Best of all for us was the part of doing a wine tasting on site, with Natalie and her family running around :) They are such nice people and you get a great wine tasting with high quality wines, in a cosy and non-snobby atmosphere! It really made our stay! Thanks so much for the great hospitality :)

Wine for adults, vast space 4 kids

Natalie was a fantastic host. Excellent email/hip camp communication and fantastic sommelier at the cellar door. The grass was green, the paddock we had to ourselves was bigger than two cricket pitches and was right next to the grapevines. The power was on the site next to ours so we had to run a long extension lead for this. Would recommend you come prepared for this if you are in Baby Vines 4. The bathroom facilities were fancy - overhead rain shower (built for the chapel and weddings!) and multiple toilets. There is only one shower but there was never a queue because only a few other campers were there even though it was a long weekend. We were there over the January long weekend and it was really hot, and her staff were kind enough to refill our bottles with iced water. Having the cellar door so close meant the adults did an afternoon wine tasting and the kids kept playing cricket/frisbee/hide and seek while we had a long lazy session. The location is right in the middle of Lovedale so we went horseriding at https://www.huntervalleyhorses.com/ an eight minute drive away. Lunched at https://majorslane.com/ and cheese tasted at https://www.binnorie.com.au/ . All within a 5k radius Cessnock town is 15 minutes away and we went swimming in the local pool there which was a relief with the 30+ degree days. I feel completely spoilt to have come here for our first camp trip in years. Not sure I will ever be able to go back to a caravan park!

Woweee, this place is absolutely gorgeous. Amazing quiet camp set up, so much room which was perfect for our group of 8. Great facilities too. We did a wine tasting and it was fantastic, Natalie is an incredible host. We loved the spot and would absolutely return, thank you so much for having us!
