We welcome you to enjoy a tranquil bush camping experience in North Arm Cove, New South Wales. This peaceful spot offers a nature retreat with convenient nearby amenities. Location: North Arm Cove, NSW, Australia Access: The campsite sits on gentle sloping land and is approximately 200m from beach access. The site is reached via a short dirt road that requires a high-clearance vehicle. Nearby Amenities: Close to shopping centres, with a BBQ, tennis court, and 24/7 public toilets available at the North Arm Cove Community Centre. It’s also a short drive to Tea Gardens and Karuah. Activities: Ideal for kayaking and exploring the nearby oyster leases in calm, protected waters. Connectivity: This is a device-free bush camp with no internet access on-site. Connectivity is available roughly 500m away. Offline Google Maps is recommended. For local services and trip planning, the Port Stephens Council website offers information on shopping centres, facilities, and detailed area maps, including resources for Tea Gardens and Karuah.This is the perfect place for those who want to be in total peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and wildlife. All cooking must be undertaken with gas cooking Portable cooktop or BBQ NO COOKING AT THE PARKING AREA AT ALL. No fire cooking gas cooking not only maintains basic fire safety, but protects the precious flora and fauna at the site, as well as adds to your own privacy. There is no water available at the property, so please bring your own. There are no toilets on the property so you must bring your own camp toilet that you take with you when you leave. Absolutely DO NOT dispose your human waste or toilet paper/wipes on the property. The closest public toilets are 24 / 7 at nearby community centre (North Arm Cove Community Centre). Short drive to fill water tanks, Tea Gardens or Karuah. Camp Merriwa North Arm Cove
We loved our first stay at Camp Merriwa, the direction Yasmin gave were super easy to follow and we ere easily able to gain access with our ute and camper trailer. It was very secluded and right near the water. There were some good 4WD tracks we found super close and Hero Bay were we paddle boarded and swam only 4 mins away! We will be back!

Bush block - private & peaceful

Camp Merriwa North Arm Cove
This site is a beautiful bush block set well away from the houses at North Arm Cove. It’s very private and you really feel like you’re in the middle of the bush. Plenty of room. We found access to be a little tricky – we recommend that both car and van have good clearance. Communication with the owner was always very prompt and helpful. it was wonderful that we were able to bring our dog with us. Thanks!
