A tranquil 85 acre property with multiple options for your stay, along the banks of the Talbragar River or by wooded areas bordering the beautiful Scrubby Creek. The sites are self-service with no amenities currently available, so best suited to those happy to be self-sufficient and with a 'leave no trace' approach. All sites offer bushwalking options (maps can be provided via email), an abundance of native flora and fauna including wild birds, the occasional echidna and wombats. You'll also find sheep and cattle meandering around the paddocks, along with our horses and free ranging peacock. We also have a super friendly kelpie and dachshund pup making the farm feel complete. Dogs are welcome & we have stables or individual paddocks available if you'd like to bring your equine friends (no riding on the property due to insurance). Only 15 minutes to the centre of town & is a great base for your visit to Dubbo. Located on the Mudgee side of Dubbo, it's an easy place to pull up on your travels and we look forward to your visit. Site 4 is our most private site with beautiful views of the river. It has a level grassy area perfect for tents, small single axle camper trailers and small camper vans (hiace or Volkswagen transporter. There is enough room for 2 of these on this site. Due to the lack of turning space it is not appropriate for large caravans (sites 1 & 3 are perfect for these) Site 4 has beautiful views of the bend in the river and offers great access to fishing and swimming spots with a great shallow area for kids and pets to play There is a mowed path for access to the river below. All of Cadagi Farms sites offer some level of privacy. Site 4 is 80 metres from its nearest site (site 3) and is at the end of the road making it our most private site.

Easy access sites suitable for campervans, trailers or tents, situated on flat ground on a ridge overlooking the Talbragar River. Pathways lead from each site to the river front, approx 30m from the campsites. There are only three sites located over 100m apart with vegetation between each site. Incredible star gazing opportunities while you enjoy the site and sounds of the bush.  There is a dedicated fishing spot at the river along with access for swimming and river depth is dependant on recent rainfall. Care is advised when entering for swimming along the riverbank. Campers need to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. All sites offer bushwalking options and an abundance of native flora and fauna including wild birds, the occasional echidna and wombats.  You'll also find sheep, horses and cattle meandering around the paddocks, please leave gates as you find them (they don’t have access to camp sites). Pets welcome, please contact us to advise of pets travelling with you.

River site 2 is located approximately 100m away from site 1, overlooking the river. It's a 20 second walk down the embankment to the river for fishing and other activities. This site allows for drive through parking, being a large circular area with a big shade tree towards the end of the site. There is natural vegetation around and no amenities at this site, so recommend a self-sufficient set up. The site is level and accessed via a private gate. Pets are welcome, but cannot be left unattended at the site.

Beautiful cleared safe and peaceful site. We stayed on site 1. Slashed walking track to creek. Our dog loved this walk and it was very cool under the trees by the creek for an Arvo drink after a long travel day. Huge site with a fire pit. Easy access for caravans. Flat site. No over hanging trees. Loved it 🫶

Spent a couple of peaceful nights camped by the river. Matt's map & directions made it super easy to find. We had to place to ourselves and didn't see a sole of the entire stay. Would definitely look to revisit if passing through.

Would highly recommend this place. The photos don’t do it justice. We stayed at Site 3 which had a beautiful view of the river. Really quiet and peaceful among the gumtrees. The site was nice and flat and Matt & Leanne left bags of fire wood at the gate for you to purchase which was very convenient. Matt is excellent with the communication and very accommodating. Only 15 mins out of Dubbo. We will definitely be back if we are passing back through this area.

It was a great spot to camp if you love the peace and quite, camp site are well away from each other and the areas are large and flat and green! The river is below the camp site and can walk along its bank, bird life in abundance, no cows wandering in the camp ground area, like some. Felt safe, gate is always kept shut and you are far enough away from main road, only 20 minutes into Dubbo which is a great city, love the area.

I had a great stay at Riverside 1 site. The site was very peaceful and private. The site was a long way from the house, maybe about one kilometre so if privacy from the host house is a priority for you then this certainly ticks that box. It was very quiet including at night. The river next to the site was just beautiful. It is down from the site a bit. You have to carefully make the walk down so keep that in mind if you are keen to sit by the riverside. I went down with my campchair and had a lovely sit by the river. The site couldn't be easier to access even in my bus which is quite big. And the site is super, super flat - which I am discovering certainly isn't always the case with a lot of places you stay! Matt was great with sms'ing me the deets for finding the place and even noticed when I went whizzing past and missed the entrance and phoned to confirm the directions. Great place - best things are the peace and quiet, being a very natural nature spot and the flatness and easy access.

Unfortunately our experience was disappointing. Despite calling ahead and Hipcamp also trying to reach out, we were unable to get in touch with the host when we arrived at the property. We ended up waiting without any clear direction, and then had to book another property, which was frustrating after planning the trip. The host later sent a kind message apologising, explaining that she had been at home but didn’t hear the calls. We hope this was a one-off and that future guests have smoother communication, as the property itself looked lovely.

Cadagi Farm exceeded my expectations. It was the perfect place to unwind from a busy day in Dubbo. It was so peaceful, private and easy to get to. The birdlife, creek and night stars were highlights.! Thank you so much Matt and Leanne for opening up your property to us travelling folk.

stayed on River site 3 - what a beautiful peaceful spot. surrounded by paddocks, river, gum trees and horses. The morning bird song was delightful as was the evening bush sounds. Firewood was cheap and plentiful, all bagged up and easy access to the site via an honesty box. The fire pit was large and in the right spot. We had a fabulous couple of nights there and all within 15km of Dubbo!

We have stayed here before, and were delighted to come back and enjoy the peace and quiet. Plenty of birds nesting in the trees, roos and echidnas visiting in the early morning and a gorgeous view of the river. Plenty of space between the sites so even on busy evenings you have your own slice of privacy. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.
