We had a great time. Lovely dams and spacious grounds with well kept toilets. The little River walk with natural water pools and waterfall was devine! There was some night time dog howling (or was it dingos, hehe?) but I guess "wildlife" noises are part of the camping fun 😊.

Went here during the Christmas break expecting to have a lot of pther campers around but for our surprise, there weren't many. Camp sites are far from each other ensuring privacy. The entire campsite is well secure in a fenced area.
The flush toilet was clean and well maintained. Although the camp site is close to a town, it felt like being in a remote place. There are lot of trees providing shade and dams are a nice thing to have.
The best part of this campsite is that it is close to the aqua pools. 20 mins steep hike to the beautiful water holes.
We met the owners when they were there to restock toilet supplies. They were very helpful.

Lots of nice campsites spaced well apart. Clean and tidy property.
Kayaks to use on the bigger dam.
A very informative map of the site and a list of lots of things to do in the local area made me want to stay longer and explore.

The Secret Getaway - Buxton
This was our 2nd time off grid with our caravan. It was a very relaxing stay. We were on Site 1 and found it great. Plenty of room. Had the view of both dams. We did go for the hike to the waterhole which was absolutely beautiful when we got to the bottom. Went for a swim. Water was so clear. We found communication with Luvina was great. She was very helpful.

This spot is really beautiful, the sites are nicely spaced out and the walk to little river was really nice. The instructions provided were very clear and helpful and the site was super easy to find! Heaps of ammenities provided, would definitely come back :)

The pictures they show on the website of the beautiful river with the rocks is not part of their property, I came to camp here just for those pictures of the river that is not part of their property but you need to walk about 25 min to get there, the spot they gave us was completely under the sun all day there wasn’t even a bit of shadow and was soooo hot, the ground it’s sand and rocks was even hard to place our tent in the ground because was so full of rock we didn’t know how to do it. Loud working noises with machine inside the property till 8pm

It needs some improvement. For example, there are not enough life jackets, there could be a table beside the water, so people could put something, like plates, bowls, or tooth paste on. Overall, the site is too basic considering the price.

The Secret Getaway - Buxton
We camped up for one night travelling from Vic to Qld. Great that we could bring our dog. Easy access with the coded lock on the gate and really easy, clear instructions. We felt safe and got the rest we needed. We are self contained so didnt need to use the toilet, which was filthy. There was a lot of broken glass on the ground at the fire pit and around the kids play equipment, which reflects on guests not taking care of it. I can see a lot of effort was put into setting everything up, but it really could do with some maintenance. It was also very expensive. Appreciate the space to sleep and lock up for the night.

Quiet area with enough space between sites to make it semi private, level site with fireplace and some furniture. Compost toilet was very clean and well stocked, and water container with soap to wash hands was a nice addition. Was very peaceful and perfect for us with a dog. Didn’t notice many mosquitoes but we did have rain during our stay.

we went as a group and want to make this a yearly event. the campsites are well spaced with plenty of open space to set up. Relatively private and far away from the noise from other campers. amenities(composting toilets)were clean and more than expected, the sensor lights for nightime visits was so handy for the ladies of our group. The owners have put a lot of thought into making it a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We'll certainly be back

Great, little camping spot . Not too close to other campers which is great . The dogs loved swimming in the dam and we enjoyed the kayaks. Quick little getaway from the city who h was great .

We had a great camping trip for 2 nights. Fire pit was great, enjoyed the kayaks, and even ventured down to the aqua pools despite the 36-degree heat! It was well worth the trek.

Such a great location, we loved the close walk to the little lake, aqua pools and bush walks. The campsite was also very quiet and beautiful next to the dams.

Mid 50s couple. Nice quiet location, we had site 1. The 6 sites were well spaced out and ours felt quite private. Our 15ft hybrid caravan fit easily. We had 2 cars (one a 2wd that was fine accessing the site). The solar fairy lights were a nice added touch (a treat to view from our outdoor shower)! One flushing and one composting toilet, was appreciated. The view over the small dams was nice too. Remember to pack your 'Good Riddance' repellant to ward off march flies and mosquitoes (normal for this time of year). Outdoor fire pit each site.
Lots of small birds, loud frogs and cicadas (sounds of summer). The short, challenging, steep and rocky, walk down to Little River Trail and Aqua Pool in the adajacent Nattai Nat Park was well worth the cardio and calf muscle strain ;) Beautiful and tranquil.
A nice 2 night stay, we would recommend for a short, close to Sydney, getaway.

A lovely camping spot, there’s a good amount space between the different spots so we had privacy and could use our little music speaker without worrying about annoying anyone :) There was a lovely smooth area for our tent so it was super comfy sleeping! The Little River walk was lovely, as was the pond with the kayaks (my partner had a swim there and really enjoyed it). The toilet was very clean, and having clean water was really great too. Also no mozzies at all even though we were near the pond in November!!! I definitely recommend :)

My Husband and I enjoyed the peacefulness of the camp site 3. Although there were other campers, there was enough space between us that it was like we were on our own.
Our dogs enjoyed swimming in the dam
We only stayed overnight but would have liked to stay longer!

Secret Getaway
Stayed at site 1 and had view of both dams. It felt secluded even though there were other campers at other sites. Very quiet & peaceful. Nature didn't dissapoint. While there were saw ducks, kookaburras, turtles, frogs, goanna & echidna. Took our dog for the first time and he absolutely loved it, as did we.
