At the foot of the Watagan mountains, close to the Watagan 4WD tracks, picnic areas, and bike tracks. Also close to Lake Macquarie where you will find fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing etc. About a 20 - 40 min drive to beautiful beaches. Ideal for those wanting to be surrounded by birds, nature and a couple of friendly doggos. Also great for people wanting to try out their new camper, van or tent for the 1st time as we are an easy 1 hour drive north of Sydney on the M1 and close enough to shops for those forgotten items. Also we have unfenced dams and waterways, if you are camping with young children please consider carefully and let me know before booking. We have very basic bathroom facilities of 1 flushing toilet in the shed and an outdoor warm shower. Please read the site rules and camping conditions to ensure this site suits your needs.

Bunyip's-Moo's Site Primitive Power
Nice paddock with basic amenities
Lovely peaceful spot and Lisa was very responsive and walked us to our spot which was kind, her dogs are lovely. Power worked well but the best spots were quite far from the box. V.long power lead reccomended. Toilet/shower area is run down and surrounded by rubbish and weeds. It could do with a few basic improvments to make it a lot easier to use (gravel path to shower/water tap, water tap/valve near the shower, shower fixed to wall). But it was better than nothing of course. We had a nice stay, thanks Lisa.

Bunyip's Brooke's Nook -Primitive
I had a lovely overnight stay at Bunyip Camp, beautiful open grounds of lush grass. Nice and quiet, firepits on each site. I stayed during a big rain event in the area so had rain all night and fairly windy but still great. Would love to visit again in nice weather!

Bunyip's Under the Pine - Primitive
A beautiful camp ground with lots of space. Despite the persistant rain during our stay the grounds drained well and our tent held out and pathways were accessable.

Decided not to stay
Lisa was very friendly and responsive online. I decided not to camp as we received a message the day before saying she wouldn't be at the site during our proposed stay. Both my wife and I were a little uncomfortable with me staying at an unfamiliar, unknown site without anyone being around. I'm happy camping solo but as an older gent I prefer to have hosts nearby in the event of any issues.
