Katie's Camp
We had a fantastic stay at Katie’s Camp at Buenpaso and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, private off-grid camping experience.
The campsite was clean, secluded and beautifully positioned on the edge of a hill overlooking the grass paddocks. We really enjoyed having our own private space, with plenty of peace and quiet to properly switch off and enjoy the outdoors.
The fire pit was a great touch, and having firewood included made the whole experience even easier. We were also lucky enough to spot some amazing wildlife during our stay, including deer and kangaroos, which really added to the experience.
Colin was an absolute pleasure to deal with - incredibly hospitable, friendly and very quick to respond whenever we had a question.
If you’re after a genuine off-grid camping experience with privacy, beautiful surroundings and plenty of wildlife, Katie’s Camp at Buenpaso is definitely worth checking out. We’d happily stay again!

Beautiful spot, with lovely, accommodating hosts! We had a great one night stay at Katie's camp, sitting around the fire and then exploring the property for the morning. Colin is a fabulous host, who supplied Firewood, helped the kids feed the alpacas and even sent us home with some farm fresh eggs. Highly recommended!

This camp was amazingly beautiful. We only had a short stay as we left quite early the next morning but the place was stunning. Highly recommend.
Such a beautiful stay at Katie’s Camp. The space is secluded and nicely maintained. Colin is a superstar host and was incredibly helpful the entire stay. An abundance of firewood was provided which was an added bonus.
I highly recommend this sit to anyone considering.

We had a nice relaxing stay at Buenpaso. We spent our time watching the world go by whilst sitting by the fire, watching Roos and deer go by. My kids really enjoyed feeding the Alpacas, collecting sticks and running around the open space. Thanks Colin for being a great host.

Awesome spot! If you’re looking for a quiet private camping area to relax and see the stars, this is a great location. Colin is greeted us on arrival (super friendly), gave us heaps of firewood and a great experience. Thanks for having us!
We loved our 3 night camp. Colin's hospitality was 2nd to none. He even helped us out with some additional firewood. Kids loved the alpacas, wildlife and space. Private camp spot just they way we like it. Definately will come back Thanks again

Colin's property was a fantastic camping spot for our long weekend. Colin helped us by going above and beyond, allowing us to arrive late, starting our fire and giving us directions. He provided us with plenty of firewood, and even gave us a hand cutting more up!! We will be back, and highly recommend for anyone looking for a quite spot with a great view of the night sky, and a great host in Colin.
This was a beautiful spot. We enjoyed a campfire at night. The view was beautiful and Colin was an excellent host. Would definitely go back and would highly recommend.

We had such a beautiful stay at this farm property. The views were absolutely amazing and it was so peaceful being tucked away from everything, exactly what we needed to relax and switch off.
Colin was fantastic. He was really responsive, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. He even provided firewood, which made the whole experience even better.
If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, scenic, and relaxing, this is it. We’d definitely come back.

Fantastic stay, great view and the kids loved spotting the kangaroos. Colin wasan amazing host and I would highly recommend this camp to anyone.
Colin was nothing short of a wonderful host. Super prompt to respond to any questions I had as we didn’t have a 4WD van and met us upon arrival and brought us straight down to the campsite. The site itself was absolutely beautiful we were surrounded by kangaroos and wildlife it was so quiet and peaceful exactly what we wanted. Colin also had plenty of firewood should we wish to light it and drums of water alongside a bin supplied for our use. He made sure we were entirely comfortable and was super friendly! Hopefully we’ll get back again at some point!

We had a lovely stay at Buenpaso - good step, Katie’s camp.
The weather was perfect, and we had beautiful views of the paddock with lots of wildlife for the kids to see.
Colin, the caretaker was very accommodating for our stay. The supplied firewood kept us warm at night and there was plenty of exploring to do for the kids.

We had such a lovely stay at Katie’s camp. Even though it was windy for our stay the campsite is nicely sheltered from the wind and has lovely views down the valley and so many kangaroos and deer around to see! Colin is such a lovely host, very kind and helpful. We highly recommend staying here and will hopefully be able to come back again and stay!

If you don’t like great hospitality, serenity, kangaroos and kookaburras and a coffee by the campfire this is not your place to visit. Absolutely amazing place!!! This one will be on repeat!!

Katie’s Camp was a lovely secluded spot at the rear of the property. We had a lovely weekend enjoying a big campfire and keeping our eyes peeled for kangaroos and deer.
We would love to stay again.
Colin was extremely friendly and responsive. He swapped our site to a dryer site after heavy rain so we won’t get bogged. He greeted us and guided us to site where he prepared dry kindling and timber. Very private and quiet place. We saw wild deers in addition to the usual farm animals and native fauna, but didn’t get a photo.
The day we arrived was extremely windy which made cooking a bit challenging, but the next day was calm and pleasant. Will definitely return.
