PLEASE NOTE : check-in from 11am till close at 6pm strict. A late arrival fee of $50.00 applies after closing time if not pre-organised directly. This Payment will be required before entry. Upon arrival please call numbers located at the boom gate to arrange entry. Being only 2 hours from Sydney and 470 metres off the Pacific Highway, Nth of Newcastle & a 40 drive to Port Stephens, we are set on 25 acres, with lge sites, most drive through (dry weather only) for your convenience. Hot showers are available ($1 coin for 2 min hot water), toilets and a disability accessible bathroom. The camp kitchen is large and well equipped with tables, chairs, a lounge area & tv for you to enjoy. The kitchen has cooking facilities, a kettle, toaster, microwave, prepping areas & more making it a comfortable space to prepare and eat meals under cover. Campers have reception to 4G. We have a turning lane entrance with boom gate security. When you arrive and set up, you will be able to ramble around our property and enjoy the ambience of the beautiful tree studded campground. Sit back in the afternoon and enjoy nature at its best and then a beautiful warm campfire, perfect!! ​Whether you're camping in a tent or vehicle, there's plenty of space to set up. The campsite is grassy and level, and 2WD accessible. We offer water hookup for caravans fill then disconnect $2, and there is a dump point for your camping toilet. Generators are permitted from 8am till 5pm (extreme heat on the day consideration). Pets welcome.

Site 10 - Bucketts Way Camp n Stay
Nice spot for a short stay or an overnight stopover, but not ideal for a longer visit. The toilets and showers are only cleaned once a day, which isn’t enough given the number of campers and limited facilities. It’s also quite noisy due to being close to the main highway, so not the most relaxing place to stay.

Great spot just off the Hwy. Plenty of space for camp and the kids to roam on bikes. Brad keeps the place and facilities immaculate.

Stayed 3 nights over the long weekend. A really great park to stay to explore the area. Very well maintained and Brad was very helpful. The amenities were kept very clean and the sites are generous. Just off the highway but roadnoise is not a problem. Need to bring your own drinking water. Would recommend.

Our second stay with Brad - highly recommended for a highway stop. A warm and friendly welcome and the best showers! Very pet friendly, campfires welcome and great facilities

Such an amazing spot!! We camped for a night as a rest stop and it was exactly what we needed. I would recommend choosing sites at the back of the property for more privacy. Kitchen and ammenities were very clean. Super friendly owners :)

Overall, it was a good experience as we were in a good camping group and the price is fair, specially accepting dogs. However, I think the campsite needs to increase the amount of bathrooms with showers as it is not enough for the capacity of the site.

Brad is very welcoming and he provided good indications. The camp is easy to reach and well signed. Camp kitchen, bins, waste pits are ok. Bathrooms are clean every day (for few hours) but as there are not many, peak hour expect long lines for shower or for the other matters. Hot showers are coin operated (seriously?). Unfortunately our sites were quite muddy. Bit pricey for what you get.

What a beautiful spot! We were sorry to only be staying one night on our way further North. It was so quiet and peaceful and very neat and well kept. The four sites are a good distance apart. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Great spot, it’s a pity that the heavens opened heavily prior to our arrival and the place was covered in water. Woke up this morning and our site was completely dry so it drains brilliantly. Great facilities and we will definitely stay again if we’re in the area. Cheers to Brad for being an excellent host!

Site 10 - Bucketts Way Camp n Stay
If you want to camp in a beautiful, easy to find location, with well maintained land, pristine facilities and a full camp kitchen with added space to host your friends, along with a welcoming an attentive host then don’t look anywhere else, this is the place you want to be and I plan to come back to. I stayed one night on a stop over to Stockton beach and it was the perfect stopping point and night spent. Thank you Brad, for being such a welcoming host, I will recommend your camp to anyone looking for a place to stay!

Facilities were clean and in good condition. Kitchen was large with a space to hang out and tables to eat at. Wasn't into paying for showers or having to rent a fire pit.

Noisy and Crowded Campsite

I had mixed feelings about my stay here. The owner is really friendly, and I appreciated the shared bathroom and shower facilities. However, the campsite is located just 500 meters from the Pacific Coast Highway, so it's quite noisy, and I had trouble getting a good night's sleep during my two-night stay. Additionally, the camping area had very little grass, mostly just dirt, which wasn't ideal. The site is also quite crowded, so if you're looking for a peaceful and quiet camping experience, you might want to consider other places.

Great spot, close to Hwy! Caravan park style camp ground in great bush setting. Good facilities for campers that aren't self-sufficient but also perfect for vans.
