Family-friendly
Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is great for families and kids.
Established on the banks of the beautiful Colo River by the Polish scouts over 70 years ago, Bielany has been a native campground ever since. It is maintained by the Polish Foundation in NSW and managed by Cassandra and Rick. We have flushing toilets and unisex hot showers. Bielany is a native campground so u will not find dump points etc or 5 star luxury but u will have a million star view Feel free to visit us anytime.

Nice and quiet, no power but we're self contained. You can't actually see the river and access is limited to a few small areas. Showers are in the women's toilets only and not very clean.

Great river
I enjoyed the river especially the hot days my dog and I were in and out all day. I stayed 5 nights it also stormed most people left but I felt fine especially with hot shower and toilet block was easy for me. I had to get my van sorted so managed to see mechanics in not to far Richmond

A nice break from reality!
Great customer service! Very friendly and helpful, spacious area where we camped. Really enjoyed our stay, so peaceful, amenities were tidy and cleaned daily. There was a playground available and my daughter enjoyed playing there. Definitely recommend this place and cannot wait to return one day 😁

Basic but good
We loved it here, we were camped right on the river and swam multiple times a day, played with a SUP board and kayak. The river has a lovely sandy bottom and is tidal. It can be ankle deep or as deep as a person depending on the time of day. Great for small kids when the tide is out. The current is gentle. The campground is basic, providing potable water, toilets and hot showers which are a little run down but kept clean (I saw people cleaning them multiple times during a weekend stay). There is also a communal kitchen but you have to walk up a bunch of stairs to use it, so we mostly didn't bother except to wash dishes. There is a small playground also at the top of the stairs near the entrance. Camping spaces are roomy and not strictly delineated, shade is at a premium so the shaded spots are snapped up early. There are three river access points, at least one has some stairs built in but the access points are somewhat steep and sandy/loose soil. Water shoes are a good idea.
