Great Location
So easy to get too, great communication from the hosts and can’t get any better with the Colo river right beside your tent . Lots of options , car camping, tent or caravan , amenities available. Close to Sydney !! Great spot and will be a regular visitor

Basic but good
We loved it here, we were camped right on the river and swam multiple times a day, played with a SUP board and kayak. The river has a lovely sandy bottom and is tidal. It can be ankle deep or as deep as a person depending on the time of day. Great for small kids when the tide is out. The current is gentle.
The campground is basic, providing potable water, toilets and hot showers which are a little run down but kept clean (I saw people cleaning them multiple times during a weekend stay). There is also a communal kitchen but you have to walk up a bunch of stairs to use it, so we mostly didn't bother except to wash dishes. There is a small playground also at the top of the stairs near the entrance.
Camping spaces are roomy and not strictly delineated, shade is at a premium so the shaded spots are snapped up early. There are three river access points, at least one has some stairs built in but the access points are somewhat steep and sandy/loose soil. Water shoes are a good idea.

We had a great time at Bielany campground. We stayed with another family for 3 nights and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The creek was beautiful to swim in, the kids also enjoyed the rope swing and snorkelling. There is also a little playground and good bike riding roads, plenty of wildlife too (possums, goanna, birds). The facilities are dated but maintained as best as they can be, and are all you need when camping.
We will be back to visit again :)

Amazing location. The river was so easy to get to via the two access points. And super clear and cooling during the hot weather. Our toddler built up the confidence to wade independently through it during low tide, it was so safe. Camping spots are spread out enough. Good showers and toilets for the women’s. Can’t speak for the men’s. Really friendly owners and you can buy snacks and beverages at reception. Highly recommend!

Had a great time here. It was NYE so it was very busy but everyone was very friendly and relaxed and we got a good nights sleep. Hot showers were great. Excellent swimming. Would definitely camp here again
