Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is great for families and kids.
Established on the banks of the beautiful Colo River by the Polish scouts over 70 years ago, Bielany has been a native campground ever since. It is maintained by the Polish Foundation in NSW and managed by Cassandra and Rick. We have flushing toilets and unisex hot showers. Bielany is a native campground so u will not find dump points etc or 5 star luxury but u will have a million star view Feel free to visit us anytime.

Overall we had a great experience. Bush camping as close as you can get & bonus, right next to the river. Unfortunately the bathrooms were a bit of a dissapointment & not up to standard. No mirror in the ladies bathroom at first, but one was put up a few days later. The floors were permanently dirty. Male bathrooms had no toilets. They are working on it though. Hopefully it will be done soon. Suggest that they leave a broom, mop & bucket in each bathroom so that the campers can clean after their showers. Also need a clean, dry space to get dressed etc.

Easy place to find and close to sydney for a overnighter, bathrooms were clean, sites spaced out nicely and decent grounds, right next to the river so could have a swim and firepits all over for a fire at night, Richard was great really nice bloke! Would recommend for everyone looking for a quick getaway from sydney

Arrival was very easy as we were the only people staying there that night (though not even the host was expecting us). The location, next to the river is great and a dip helped to cool off on a hot day. Most, if not all of the sites were level which was perfect for us in the roof rent. There were plenty of fire pits. Unfortunately there were a few negative aspects, the site itself feels very dated. It seems like a long time ago somebody put a lot of time and effort into designing and building the facilities but they have not been maintained over time. The bathrooms are in a sorry state. The gents seems more like a building site. There are hot showers next to the ladies toilets but they are not clean (cocoons on the cubicle walls, dozens of dead moths on the floor). With a bit more attention to the cleanliness of the facilities this would make a decent campsite but unfortunately I won't be back in a hurry.
